- Sunhouse artist Antonio Sanchez brings a new video called Shadows and Lights.
Antonio is a five-time Grammy award winner and all-around music hero. His latest release is called Lines in the Sand -- check it out on all the places you listen to music.
In this video, Antonio layers samples over his drum kit. There are no backing tracks he's playing along to -- all samples and effects are controlled by him with his sticks.

akira jimbo has been doing this kind of thing for years, rim activated drum triggers etc. however the production value of the sounds and the orchestration by Antonio is next level

He begins thoughtfully and musically then, quickly slips into his trick bag. A little more time spent developing the original musical idea would have led to a more interesting composition. It's the curse of musicians with more chops than restraint.
