Actually just purchased a 2011 Highlander limited AWD for $8,700 though a private seller. It has the updated lines as well. It runs great and is excellent shape. It is high mileage 203k. And have noticed that upon starting the car the AC doesn't blow cold until it gets moving. Would you say it's still a good deal or did I pay too much?

      It is a good review , the only thing that I noticed that is not 100% accurate is that to get into the third row seat it is actually not that challenging as mentioned and that is because he only folded the second row seat to get in the third row seat , but the second row seat folds and SLIDES FORWARD leaving enough space to get easily into the third row seat . like I said otherwise it's a very good review.

    • @robertraman6307
      @robertraman6307 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s called 1AR-FE. No issues found. No weak points other than the materials in the cylinder block that has an expected lifetime of 150-200k miles and that’s just what modern car that can’t rebuild cylinders are like. However the engine used in Tacoma is called 2TR-FE and is stronger. Expected lifetime is 250k but there is some man that has done 1.3 million miles in his 4 cyl 2.7 L Tacoma.

      It's hard to narrow down but I have the 2012 Limited and I'm getting about 14-17 or so MPG, mostly city driving.
      But, the computer is constantly calculating your MPG, even when you're sitting still, like ar a light or in a slow drive-thru. This makes your MPG reading look low because you can have a rating of 16 MPG when you entered the drive-thru, but by the time you leave your MPG may have dropped to 15 or even lower, due to the car just sitting and running.

    Great car until battery dies. Had to get it towed because battery cable blew out and they needed to replace the cable on the battery and now they have to tow this car again because battery just died. This car won’t allow you to open any locked doors when its battery is dead. Faulty actuator door makes jumpstarting this car impossible. Can’t open driver door manually, can’t open passenger side door, can’t open trunk, and can’t manually open hood. Faulty actuator is the problem when battery dies. Always check the battery life of this particular car. The one I got is 2012.
