Yes it is now. However when I made this video it was actually pretty garbage for anything other than carp at the time. At the time Garlic Dough, Pearl Barley and blood worms were the best for Bream. It's too bad TH-cam won't let me go back and just add in a slight edit to each of my videos.
Something I do: Fish Kuori for a rl day with spinners. Keep all baitfish of size and fish piece fish of size. Fill your net completely with just those. Then buy your premium, activate your happy hour and then harvest your 100 baitfish/fish pieces. You can get some decent points %.
Another way to harvest worms to help level and not costing any silver. Go to Mosquito, dig near your house by the atrium or wherever, go inside, light your fireplace and stand near it. You don't need to buy matches or firewood.
Yeah a lot of people used to do this before houses were available by just lighting a camp fire and digging near a fire. Digging works great if you're simply starting to level. After a while though it takes way too much time to actually get a level.

Yeah when it comes down to time it takes to level vs cost, egg dough is still the way to go to finish 100%. You will end up with around 300,000 egg dough when you're done. The problem is after egg dough it takes way to long to level with any of the other baits. For a hardcore player it could take months, for a casual player it could take close to a year. So egg dough allows you push that last bit to 100% in around a week or so depending on your silver situation.
I do suggest doing about 500 honey dough and 300 of the Polenta, mainly because you'll use Honey dough but not a lot of Polenta. Then after that it's all Egg Dough.

No trophy spots are like hot spots, they jump around randomly. Honestly the best thing when it comes to trophies is amount of fish per hour and the correct larger hook size. The more fish you catch and the bigger the hook size the higher the chance you have of catching one. However every now and then there are spots that just go nuts and hand out trophies. It happens most often with bream and roach.

When you craft the eggdough. Light on a Fire at a camp and craft it there. It works better there.
I don't see how a fire helps to level bait harvesting.

I'm not entirely sure how it happened but I ended up with 104 thousand egg doughs
