Be careful. For a cluster sample example using skittles, all bowls should start with mixed colors. Each bowl should represent the population. THen you would choose, say, 2 of the bowls and use ALL of the skittles from those two bowls for your sample.
"Each bowl should represent the population." - This is the ideal situation when cluster sampling should be used. But, that may not be the truth, or put simply, color may not be a factor which has relation with the parameter that is being estimated through the sampling. For example, let's say we choose samples from 5 streets out of 100 streets in a town. We assume that the parameter we are estimating has no direct relation with the street they live on. Here, the factor street is comparable with the color of the skitters.
This was extremely helpful! Every website I went to over complicated it and was difficult to understand but now I finally understand the difference. Thanks!
Jesus loves you ❤️Please turn to him and repent and receive Salvation before it's too late. The end times written about in the Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus is the son of God and he died for our sins on the cross and God raised him from the dead on the third day. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms but time is running out. Please repent and turn to him before it is too late. Accept Jesus into your heart and invite him to be Lord and saviour of your life and confess and believe that Jesus is Lord, that he died for your sins on the cross and that God raised him from the dead. Confess that you are a sinner in need of God's Grace and ask God to forgive you for all your sins through Jesus. Time is running out. Jesus loves you. Nothing can compare to how he loves you. When he hung on that cross, he thought of you. As they tore open his back, he thought of your prayer time with him. As the thorns dug into his head, he thought of you spending time in the word of God. As the spears went into his side, he imagined embracing you in heaven.
In cluster sampling you don't consider from which cluster they are coming from. But in your video the pebbles were already stratified giving a wrong impression..

Be aware that stratifiying the population and then applying simple randomisation is statistically no different from just simple randomising from the original population. Stratification needs to be used with block randomisation to ensure equal numbers of each strata end up in each arm of the trial.
Stratified Sampling sounds okay, however cluster sampling is not correct because you need to start the clustering and more over each cluster is selected randomly once its formed. Hope it clarifies
If lets say after the strata of color, and to the next phase of doing simple random sample. However, now is tht you have to pick out 50 from each strata. Would this be considered quota sampling or still stratified sampling?
if i had to test the quality of food among different food centres but i only have the ability to test 10 centres, what sort of sampling technique do i use?

The first time I understand stratified sampling method really

i just want to eat the skittles
You should apply for test subject.
Same 😭

I am studying for finals and this helped a lot, thank you!
OMG it sure took you a lot of time to "stratify" those skittles! Really lovely and simple explanation. Thank you ^.^
beautifully demonstrated the difference between both sampling techniques
Beautiful example Thanku so much for making this boring topic interesting....
in a cluster sampling all of the clusters should look similar to avoid the bias you show at the end.
Wonderfully explained! There is beauty in simplicity.

Holy moly! Skillets had me understand its difference which I couldn't get it from any other videos lmao. You're great. 😂
It helped a lot! Thank you very much!!
Thank You for this video it's really helpful for me and now I am hungry after watching this video 😁
Really great and simple explanation! Thanks a lot!
Finally got it! Thank u!

Great explanation. Keeping it simple.
it would be helpful if you give a reference of a journal or article that matches what you explained..
wow thank you!!!! this helped a tonnnnn
Great video! So helpful!

All I could think of.... watching your video was - your skittles look yummy!
love this video!!
very useful!!
Good job 👏🏻😁😁😁
great video!
Cluster sample as a means of stratified population?
if i had to test the quality of food among different food centres but i only have the ability to test 10 centres, what sort of sampling technique do i use?
cluster because you only have the ability to taste 10 rather than all of them
Was this video a School project? Because this channel has only one video.
So Nice , Love You Ellie
thanks you helped me
Thank you very much le s !
Thank you!
