I heard his voice described perfectly. God asked David if he wanted the voice of a demon or an angel. David said yes and God said "there you go". He is amazing and had some classical training before turning to metal
David Draiman can sing! ...one of the best on the planet imho. He can even put vibrato on distortion! ... which is incredible difficult to do. Sometimes he sounds angelic... then on a dime comes the distortion and back... which is again so difficult. The man has such control of his voice! ... it's really awesome. Liked your reaction.

Sounds like your equipment here is not correctly. Dave is a classically trained vocalist and was a trained cantor in the Jewish faith as a young boy.
Sounds like your audio was clipping badly when you listened to this. I can hear static and warbling from David's performance that do not exist in this recording.

I read auto tune was used and he was not happy about it. He did have a 102 fever. His voice is beautiful.

It's fun watching a hip-hop head discovering music FOR THE FIRST TIME! Music is so much more than a stolen sampled beat from another artist, and really bad rhymes sloppily put together.
He’s got an amazing voice. Unfortunately auto tune was applied in post-production; he certainly didn’t need it and was pissed. Check out his live performances of it to compare. Thx for the reaction!
Do you have reference for him not knowing about it? How do you explain that the studio version is also Auto-tuned?

Dudes an opera singer. Its what happens when you clash it with metal.
David has a lot of the first overtone in his voice. Thats what rings so loudly in the lower sections.
