It's a fine car. Much nicer than the xtrail she is based on. 2ltr is a must though.
Had a choice between this or a Seat Taracco.....gald I went with the Seat!

Good review. CVT gearboxes are noisy when pushed but they are generally bullet-proof and nice around town. Wouldn't put me off the Koleos.
CVT is made by Jatco same as in Nissan... you'll find 5 years reading and videos and none of them good.
We have had one for about a month, more than 3K kms on it and would agree with all the points in this review! The drive handling, and the oh so comfy seats are the best part... perfect to pack a tent for a weekend camping getaway and stylish headlights!
I have one 190bhp and this review is very good, I agree with most points, what sets it apart from Kadjar and x Trail is, it Koleos has much bigger load space and rear passenger space. I average 37.5 mpg. It’s not a drivers car it’s quiet a dull ride, but comfy and great low end torque see’s it cope easily with acceleration. Best feature is the excellent automatic adaptive headlights, night driving is so much safer.
37.5 mpg! Is that with the automatic? Christ even a big two tonn Ford Edge had better mpg than that.
I don’t see the point of the outdated Koleos anymore when you can have the Kadjar which is a far better car. You should have brought the poor cat for a drive and not hoosh it away like that.
Car is such a crap imo. Drove 2 of them, they feel like they are going to break over bumps, no rigidity and very loud engine combine with cvt. Very uncomfortable ride and it drives like a van. Haven't driven worse car in years

I like Renaults and the Renault brand and presently have the 1.6 dci kadjar which has the same engine as an earlier version of the Koleos in that design but I wouldnt have a Koleos about me I don't think for whilst the new engine, the 1.7 and indeed the 2.0 are both supposed to be very good I hate CVT gearboxes as theyre very much, pick a gear any gear they're all in the same box type way of working and I much prefer a manual and that's whether the CVT is mated to a petrol or a diesel engine as my one experience of a CVT gearbox was in a 1.6 petrol Nissan Note and it was terrible! I also don't see the point in the Koleos because whilst it's not the only reason you'd buy a bigger SUV but one of the primary reasons would be because you need 7 seats which it doesn't have so what's the point apart from having the extra space and it's a bit overpriced for what it is.
The Koleos has a TCe 160 turbo petrol with an EDC gearbox available.
@@ytlurker220 the tce turbo petrol would be of no use to me whatsoever given that it'd be harder on juice.
@@stevencampbell1150 it's not, I own one. It beats the official figure of 6.3L/100km. Mine is doing 5.7L/100km on ECO mode. You can convert that to MPG if you need. It's most definitely more efficient than a 2.0L or 2.5L naturally aspirated. Reason for that is it's a 1.3L direct injection turbo, the turbo really doesn't increase consumption at all, it only boosts performance without increased consumption. By the way, this engine is used in the base model Mercedes A-Class and B-Class, since it was developed by Mercedes and Renault.

I have the 2020 Intens (190HP) and overall im very happy with it. The only downside is that it was advertised with 5.9L/100km but actually its 10.2L/100km

No hybrid or petrol version 🤔 very few opt for just diesel in this day and age? What's going on? Surely, there must be a hybrid and electric and petrol version available or am I missing something 🤔

The new Captur is very well built. The last one didn't have issues either.
I am driving a Kadjar at the moment.second kadjar .3 years each one.i am interested in Koleos but.are they on way out.should i stick to kadjar..love to hear any comment.
Well you are comparing what I'm assuming is 2015 to 2019 gen captur which was designed to be cheap and cheery to a larger renault which is much more premium my parents drive a 2016 kadjar and I have to say it's quiet plush for the price
