I think that while the Sipahi did their job it was the combination of superior army value, upgrades and Janissaries that really decided this game.

I think the win had more to do with double the army value + a thousand army value of castle age gunpowder units melting the horsemen frontline.

I tend to go fast castle maa against the sipahi spear combo. they never pose much of a problem at all to me when I do this

Knee jerk take? Val didn't get bootcamp. Went range defense in BS when corv didn't have any archers, and you have melee defense banging away from the mheter on a larger army WITH JANNIES. So Sipahi are broken? No.

He shouldn't have taken on that fight in a small choke knowing the janis were there. He was also way behind on upgrades.

The range is what realy makes it broken, they got so much they atack behind other sipahi crazy dps, that choke point was beneficial only to valdemar.

Wrong decision for the red player to go battle in that choke point, those phalanx sipahis are at an advantage in tht situation

the buff to their range allows the spears to buffer and while its spear on spear at the front lines the ottoman players calvary is attacking aswell while the abi horsemen are running around derping out.. Was a really bad position for the abi to take a fight.. you would think a chokepoint would be nice but against the new sipahi it was a SLAUGHTER

Without boot camp, some blacksmith upgrades and half of army value is hard to win.

0:21 Bronze league boomers don't like Dry Arabia because you can't easily put up stone walls across the map in feudal. Also AoE3 players are probably bored by how basic and straightforward it is since basically every AoE3 map has some quirk/gimmick (I guess Gran Chaco and Central Plain are somewhat basic and are the closest to Dry Arabia, but neither were among the first couple collections of maps added to the game).

To be fair, 33 sipahi should destroy 20 spears. Think we still need to get used to the new high costing superhorsemen. Very solid play there from the crow!
