I’m always looking how to style my hair differently using my hair tools. I saw a hairstylist on instagram share this hair curling method that I’ve never tried before using a curling iron. It’s basically twisting the section of hair down the barrel of the curling iron as many times as possible until that section of hair ends. The end result is really beautiful and mimics a tiny curling wand. But, this method of curling the hair is so much faster than using a small or tiny curling iron. I hope you give this hair curling method a try.

I do this with my hair about once a week. I “over” curl my hair and add as many twist as I can on the first day but then by day 2 or 3 it’s just a nice wave and I can just toss in a few extra curls. I do have a lot of hair so it can take time but it works for me and the more I do it the better I get and faster!

I did this style 30 years ago but I twisted the hair then wrapped it around a hotroller. Got the same results way easier

I could NEVER curl my hair in 5 minutes no matter what method I used. I don’t think I could even curl one side is less than 15 minutes, which is why I never curl my hair anymore. I’m considering curling it for my sons’ wedding this summer, but I’ll probably have my stylist do it, as my arm gets tired before I can finish it.
Curling with a flat iron/straightener is much quicker but take a bit of skill to master

I know this tutorial is a couple months old, but I stumbled upon it & used it today on my medium length layered hair & it turned out so well! There is bit of a learning curve so I expect to get better & quicker @ doing it. I used a 1" T3 clipped iron & let the curls cool for about 30 minutes before just combing thru! Love it! Thank you for such a detailed tutorial! ☺️
This reminds me of the Remington hairdryer that comes with the attachment that dries your hair on these twists and let it sit. Unravel and its like this, very cool.

I think it looks beautiful! 🤩 I have a lot of hair and it’s as long as yours or longer, so I would probably not do this very often since it takes so much longer than a wand or the regular method.

I saw where someone took a pencil ✏️ & wrapped hair around it & took the curling iron to heat it on the pencil & had cute tight curls!
I bought the Lena automatic hair curler. It's amazing. Works really well n very less hectic than twisting around a hot curler.
Tips: use only on fully dry hair.
I saw this on tiktok about a year and a half ago and it is a game changer. It's the only way I can curl my hair that is stays curls all day.

I have thick, wavy hair so I do this method but only a handful of of pieces throughout my head on Day 3 and 4. It works great and stretches out how often I wash it.
