Can spacing of 250mm on the vertical bars of 12mm and 300mm on the horizontal bars of 10mm be ok to construct a culvert that will run under a storey building only to carrying erosion flow? The building will not directed be rested on the culvert,it will have beams resting on columns running across it.
Hi Ronald, you're welcome. Due to the shuttering of head walls; we had to first prepare the decking slab and late fixed the shuttering for head walls. This method is comparatively easier. Hope you understand the point. Thanks. 😊
Yeah, you're right. It was due to low height of culvert & laterite filling on top of culvert. If the culvert is high & there is less amount of laterite filling on top of decking slab of culvert, then you may decide to make it double mat of rebars. Thanks. 😊
Wing walls length projection is 2.2m. Whereas, apron slab has projection of 1.5m. Yes, I used reinforcement bars for Apron slab as well. I used Y10 as main/runner bars and Y12 as distribution/short bars. Hope it helps. Thank you.
Hi, it all depends upon the volume of water. If you are designing/constructing for high volume of water flow then you need to increase the cells accordingly. Hope I have answered you. Thanks.

Hi, it'll be fine provided you use double mat. Thanks.
Very nice sharing

Thanks for the video. May i know why you didn't cast the headwall & the deck slab at the same time?

The video was very helpful 🙏🏽
Thanks a lot.
Did you use only one layer of reinforcements for wingwalls? If yes, why?
Yeah, you're right.

Good Job brother
Thank you brother.
Can you tell us wing walls as meter.what about the lenght of apron slap.did you use reinforment bars in floor slaps or not

Am hamisi have a question, how about the calculation of support for the live load
Both dead & live loads are considered before the implementation of designing process.
@@civilengineerishaqsohag thanks bro
@@hamisikarani7134 you're welcome dear. 😊
👌👏
Thank you so much. 👍🙏
Good video, please what's the thickness of the concrete wall and slab, thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the appreciation.
The thickness of both wall and decking is 25cm/250mm.
Thank you.
Whats the difference between the Double Cell Box Culvert and the Single Cell one.

Thanks.
