The tension claws look pretty generic / Gibraltar etc. True?

Not sure about Gibraltar, but they are the same a Dunnett, C&C and most other boutique brand are using. I have the same claws on other kits of mine and are my preferred claw most of the time.

I do hope that customer are not allergic to Nickel... one of the most common allergies :-/
