  • I open up the Anker 633 Magnetic Wireless Charger (MagGo) 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Station with Detachable Portable Battery to give a hands-on first impression and let you know how I've found using it for the first few weeks.
    Anker (UK): 10ws.co/3TiejiO
    Amazon (UK): amzn.to/3OuOw5k
I've found no buzzing noise with this unit and largely would recommend it to most people, the only issue I've found with the unit is the bright light at the bottom of the base which I'd personally like to be able to control the brightness or switch the light permanently off.
Disclosure: I was gifted this item to review by Anker, but Anker didn't request any editorial approval for the video or ask to see it before publication.

I want to know how the degradation of the battery is going after a year

To be honest, we rarely move the battery from the unit, we also ended up buying a secondary unit but the battery on that has failed to keep a charge so will charge the phone when it's mounted on the bracket/arm but if you remove the battery part doesn't work.

I wonder if you got to know the reason for the flashing coming from the base ??!!

It basically signals that it's starting to charge or there is an error (e.g. Airpods are on it but it's not charging)

No complaints with the materials, the battery itself is soft to the touch and the rest is high quality hard plastic or metal!

The light on the airpods case should light up or if they're the newer ones make a noise to confirm they're charging

The stand looks quite cool, but here what confuses me a bit.
So, you have a stand with a removable battery. This is great. But what if you use it in the office? You come to the office, put your phone on this stand/charge, and it is charging. Then you go home and... Actually, you have to take the battery with you. Put it in the bag, pocket or attach to the phone. And if you accidentally forget the battery at home - the stand is pretty useless since you simply can not attach your phone to it.
I mean, sure, you can leave the battery in the stand if your environment is safe.

Agreed leaving the battery somewhere by mistake makes the charger completely pointless, something I’ve done once when my wife took the battery with her and left it in the car. It meant popping out to the car late at night to go and grab it.

@@WillFealey would be really awesome if you could use other Anker's batteries.

@@kinvain you can still charge your phone with the stand without the battery, you can place it at the bottom of the stand and it will charge wirelessly
