      LMAO IKR? The last version had some hiccups and some good stuff happen, so we opted for a redo.

    I underestimated, and helmet ended up a little too big 😅. Any tips besides make a new helmet?

      Yeah! Reduce the scale in the pdf. when you go to print the helmet, reduce it by 2% at a time until you get a size you like. dont do any percentages ober 5% at a time, people dont understand how much smaller a 10% smaller item really is, it could take away WAY more than you want.
      Should be on the print menu under "print sizing and handling --->Custom scale"
      Try that and let me know!

      @@TheNextDecade That’ll be good to know for a future project thanks. Though I already have the helmet built, and was actually wondering if there were any tricks to help it fit my head better. If not no worries.

      @@Takaiju OH my bad! sorry I missed this! You can always pad the inside of your helmet with scrap foam, or you can "splice" the helmet by picking strategic points to remove material, and glue the new edges together. this trick is hit or miss so be careful and try to make cuts in less easy to see areas like the back of the mask. best of luck!

      @@TheNextDecadewhat's the size of a the helmet by default? It would be easier to measure my head and have it sized correctly before printing and making the helmet only to realise it's too big or small.

      Considering how he hasn't given an exact size for the helmet, could you please tell me what the inner diameter of the mask is (assuming you printed at 100% scale).

    Is your camera on some kind of automated gimbal or someone moving it the whole time? It makes some parts very hard to follow

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is. We had a stationary camera go dead on us twice and we lost all the still footage. We fixed this issue for the next episode already.
      Sorry if any of this was confusing, I'm still figuring out the best approach to making videos like these. Promise these will get better as we go.
      Thanks for watching regardless of the issues!!

    When i printed it, it came out way too big

    • @TheNextDecade
      @TheNextDecade  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can change the scale in your pdf viewer. just be sure you set it to poster print, and then reduce the scale by 2-5% until you get one that fits you nicely. I ended up padding the helmet I used for my suit and extending the jaw. I'm freakishly huge too so, sorry if its a lil too big.

      @TheNextDecade im freakishly average, so most of these things look like bobbleheads on me XD

      @@nickthehatmansmoviehouse2538 I'll be sure to add a smaller version for the next pattern. Thanks for your feedback, it helps the show get better~

      @TheNextDecade cuz i didnt really adjust it, i just downloaded the one pattern for fast printing and it was just a tad too big

      @TheNextDecade also i feel like u werent really super clear about how to cut or assemble certain parts like the nose. The way the camera moves around. I couldnt really tell how you glued it together so i kinda had to guess. Same with the ears, i couldnt see how you cut the bigger side
