How do you measure where the eyes should be??
@@Casious_Productions i usually guess, it really depends on what youre using it for. You can always srsw guidelines on it like you would a face on paper (i dont remember the measurements) or figure out the height and measure from the center out

Hey! It's a great tutorial! And thank you for the free template! I'm just curious, i out together a cardboard mockup to check sizes and two of the stripes didnt align correctly. To be precise, on the template it was the two middle stripes of the front half, one was always longer than the other. Will that be different with foam?
The template I made is handmade and not very accurate. sorry.

ちなみに少し質問なのですが、張り合わせの部分をもっと段差なくツルっとしたマスクを作りたいのですが、コツなどはありますか？
張り合わせた部分の段差の処理ですが、ワタクシも本当に悩んでおりまして、これといった解決法が見つけられないでいます。強いていうなら、ベースマスクの材料を、COSボードのような密度の高いスポンジシートを使うこと、カットする際に垂直にカットすることくらいでしょうか。目地シールもツルッとした表面にはならないですし、いまだに試行錯誤してます。すみません。

@@user-fn7to2zx3z 樹脂は、スムースオンのD65という樹脂を少量頂いたのでそれを使いました、ただ、日本では入手しづらいため、現在、代替品にてベースマスクをコーティングする動画を製作中です。これがうまくいけばFRP製のマスクのような外観になると思います。しばしお待ちを。

似たようなマットでハサミを使って切ったのですが、断面が綺麗に出来なかったせいか、ボンドでくっつけようとしてもうまくくっつかないうえに、ボードを丸くすることも困難でした。
やはりハサミよりもカッターの方がいいのでしょうか？
あとうまく丸くする解決方法はありませんでしょうか？

動画を視聴いただきましてありがとうございます。マットを切断する際はよく切れるカッターを使わないと切断面が荒れてしまいます。曲面にしたい場合はヒートガンで熱を加えて曲げる方法があります。ギャクヨガ様のサイトや動画が詳しいので参考にされると良いと思います。

Thank you for watching my video. This template has a narrow head. It is used when making a super sentai helmet.
Another template is round the shape of the face. I use it when making a helmet for Masked Rider.

Great tutorial but I have a question, are you meant to print 1 and 2 on the same paper or is it meant to be separate?
Please print out 1 and 2 on separate pieces of paper. Then, make a pattern by pasting numbers 1 and 2 onto a large piece of cardboard.

Can I use 6mm foam instead of 10mm? The sunken details of the helmet might be too deep if I use 10mm.
Using 6mm foam instead of 10mm gives the base helmet an angular shape. We recommend using 10mm thickness if possible.
I have a lot more access to cardboard than i do foam, can anyone confirm if this works with cardboard as well? I found a template similar to the bigger/wider one (on the left at the end of this video) and as much as I like it, I'm always looking for upgrades.

10mmのジョイントマット買って乗り型紙に沿ってきり、くっつけたのですが
先っぽの部分が全て揃わずに凹凸になってしまいました。
買ったマットが高硬度のものだったからでしょうか。おすすめのマットはありますか？
スポンジシートはホームセンターで購入したのでおすすめとかは特にないのですが、貼り付けるときに両端の先っぽを先に接着してから真ん中を接着するようにしたほうがきれいにできると思います。

It doesn't have to be graph paper, but any cardboard can be used. A cereal box is also acceptable.

What's the name of the paper you used to stick the templates onto with the gridlines?
The paper I used is thick paper called "graph paper".
This paper is common in Japan and can be purchased at stationery stores, supermarkets, and 100-yen shops.

One thing troubles me though...how do you know where to cut the eyes??? I mean..you can see what your doing with the thing on your head..and everyones eyes are placed somewhat differently..so how do you do that..measure where the eyes should be..will take a lot of helemet before you get it perfect..if you're not lucky and get it right the first or second time ??
The design of Super Sentai is not a problem because the eyes are wide-ranging. If you want to mark your eye position on the base helmet, mark it from the outside while wearing the base helmet.

is there any way to adjust the template size before printing?
i found an easy solution if anyone stumbles upon this same question. i'm sure this can work with other software, but i used GIMP to import the pdfs. After importing i used the resize tool to make the picture larger as i needed and for some i had to rotate the image to still have it fit within a normal sheet of paper. After getting it to fit right you can print right from the file tab

The EVA foam I use is 10mm thick.

@@SuperSmosh123 If you make it with 5mm thickness, the helmet will be angular and will not be round. 10mm thickness is recommended.

Can you do geki violet? Also, it is possible to cover the Eva foam with fiber glass sheets?
It seems possible to cover the EVA foam with a glass sheet. i haven't tried it.
I find smooth-on epsilon pros easier than glass sheets.

The difference from traditional helmets is that the width is narrower. Characters with round heads, such as Kamen Rider from the Showa era, use traditional helmets.

How to wear a base helmet depends on the character. You can put a slit on the side of the helmet to put a magnet in it, or put a slit in the back of the head and attach a zipper. Watch the video on how to make a helmet for my character.
