I am Ethiopian I have never tried it raw meat before just don’t like it but I love sushi I think it’s similar sushi they drink with rice wine and Ethiopian they drink it with honey wine… Ethiopian-Adal War, also known historically, started eating raw beef to avoid being spotted by the enemy.

Do they hold wedding ceremonies and parties over weekends like we do here in South Africa? Don't say this out loud..I wouldn't concentrate on the food that much because of my poor digestive system. My eyes would be swiveling like mad because of the beautiful Ethiopian women..
I would say the injera is laid out and not as a plate but it helps to soak the sauces and keeps your plates a bit organized and easy to scoop the sauce.
