I LOVE CAMPAGNOLO, AND HAVE THREE ITALIAN BIKES, ALL FITTED WITH TOP OF THE RANGE CAMPAGNOLO!!!
I SAVED A LITTLE USED CUSTOM ORANGE BIANCHI SPECIALISSIMA RIM BRAKE WHICH HAD SHIMA(NO!) DURA-ACE, ETC FITTED,
SO I GOT IT TAKEN OFF (SOLD IT OFF!), AND HAD NEW 12-SPEED SUPER RECORD EPS/WTO 33 WHEELS FITTED!!!
I HAD A COLNAGO C60 WITH FULL 11-SPEED SR EPS/BORA ULTRA WHEELS, ETC, BUT IT WAS TOO BIG, SO I WAITED FOR A C64 DISC.
I FOUND ONE WITH MECHANICAL SR/RECORD/WTO 60 WHEELS, BUT I WANTED SR EPS DISC, SO I SOURCED THE PARTS AT GREAT
    PRICES, AND HAD THEM FITTED!!!
I AM NOW CHANGING THE WTO WHEELS TO WTO ULTRA 33, AS THEY ARE LIGHTER, AND WE HAVE A LOT OF HILLS HERE!
LASTLY, I AM A MASSIVE MARCO PANTANI FAN, AND HAVE SOURCED MOST OF HIS 1993-1997 KITS, BUT HAVE ALL HIS 1998 KIT, SO
NEEDED HIS BIANCHI REPLICA WITH THE CAMPAGNOLO RECORD/PIRATE SADDLE TO COMPLETE THE LOOK!
WELL, AFTER SIX YEARS OF TRYING, I SOURCED A VIRTUALLY UNUSED/MINT CONDITION BIKE!
JUST WAITING FOR THE SUMMER/BIG BIKE RACES TO SHOW IT OFF!
I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE (EVEN ITALIANS!!!) WILL NOT BUY CAMPAGNOLO, BUT LOVE BLAND, UGLY SHIMA(NO!)/SRAM?

WHY NO RIM BRAKE VERSION? I like Campagnolo and use Campagnolo parts for ~40 years… but you do realize that you are no longer a market leading brand and that you are dependent of customers who buy outside of mainstream, don’t you? Then it is absolutely stupid to not let those who do think outside of the box be your customers… it’s Campagnolo‘s arrogance which let the brand struggle and you guys are not willing to learn your lesson…….

If you really want someone to come around to your way of thinking or provide you something, in this case a rim brake version. Insulting their intelligence will get you nowhere.

There are very few rim brake frames being offered at the moment, from the major manufacturers, who, love it or loathe it, drive what component makers do. The last two are from Pinarello and Colnago, who, whilst they are prominent companies, big enough to be considered as "major manufacturers", they are not on the scale of Trek or Specialized for example.
Any manufacturer has to look at where the market is heading - this wheel, like almost every other new release in the wheel market from every company, is a disc brake wheel because that is where the market as a whole is headed. Trek, Specialized and others like them are leading that now and are setting the overall market expectations ...
Add to that, the customers, it would appear, don't really want to pay the significant premium that is inherent in far smaller production runs of CF composite rims using different adhesive / matrix technology to withstand the heating that happens with rim brakes.
Any brand can only look at the trends it sees in what it's wholesalers and distributors order - if rim brake sales were still very strong - and there is a rim brake WTO-pattern wheel available, in three depth offerings - then the incentive would be there to keep developing rim brake. Unfortunately, the sales of rim brake wheels, are OK - but not enough to sustain the ongoing development of new rim brake wheels by any of the major wheel brands.
We all know that there are small framebuilders that still offer rim brake frames ... but we also all know well, that especially for those building in metal, rather than composite, most of the current movement in frame design (larger headtubes, integrated cockpits, disc brake, etc.) add weight to a frame in a way which can be coped with by building frames in composite but not, without a lot of tech & therefore cost, in metal.
That very small, edge market is just not big enough to sustain factory manufacture at volume, plus those customers tend to be of a "custom" frame of mind and so may well opt for more custom, rather than off-the-peg wheels.
