Just followed this video to install this exhaust. Without this step by step guide I wouldn’t have attempted it. Many thanks for taking the time to help others.
Hi, just want to let you know that i followed your video to the word and installed my Akrapovic to my brand new MT09SP yesterday. Took me about 3 hours but i must tell you that your video was better than any manual ir instruction booklet. Im not a mechanic or anything but you simplified the installation process so well that i managed to install easily. Can't thank yoy enough fkr sharing. 🙏
This is one of the better videos of this exhaust install. It helped put on my Akrapovic tonight. Took me almost 5 hours (previous owners bent one of the header bolts; not fun).
What a great video brother. A buddy and I did this install in the middle of the night and it took us about 2 hours. Looking forward to riding the bike and hear it 👏🔥
Great vid. Easiest way to hold the copper gaskets in place is exhaust paste. A small smear on the back of the gasket will hold it in place whilst getting the headers on and help seal them incase of any corrosion or damage, works a treat.
Ho installato da poco lo stesso scarico racing con filtro sportivo e mappatura. Adesso è tutta un'altra storia. La moto è completamente cambiata sia a livello estetico che di prestazioni!
Mate I needed this video earlier haha I just done mine last night and you posted and it was not on the searches properly till now for me. Great video. I found I had not required to move the rad and used the longer socket to the middle and inner header bolts .. def get a evotech rad guard installed . But thanks 🙏 brilliantly done video. The others do not compare to this video on how to.
Have you got the 2021? Appreciate the feedback and shame it wasn’t sooner, uninstalled the Akra last night due to popular demand for a ‘how to video’.. reinstalled original, started the vid, took it off and reinstalled the Akra again😅
@@motobolt7796 haha nic one bro appreciated the video for sure best how to... now you dont need to undo the rad , if you tilt bike up from front you get better access to the headers with long socket! I managed phew. Yep mines on the 2021 ..
@@alf786 well done, I see where you managed!Originally when I lined up the top bolts with the extensions they were scratching the paint off the radiator, so went with the other approach to have more freedom of movement and not strip the nuts in the tightening process with the socket on such an angle.. did you have to remove the lower radiator bracket?
cool install video. would be great to create a video of the exhaust sound whilst riding - ripping through the gears and downshifts etc. tunnel run would hurt either 😺
What an excellent "how to" install video. Thanks for taking the time to do it. I have the exact same exhaust and exact same bike. I'll be putting it on tomorrow and now I know just what to do. Thanks again! How does it run with no tune? Same as it did with stock exhaust?
It does sound much better with the new exhaust, but the stock exhaust "hidden" design is one of the reasons I love the 3 gen version of this bike. If only there was a way to de-cat the stock exhaust....
Great videos, I have installed akrapovic exhaust on my bike follow your instruction. Just one question: Did you tightening the header nuts follow the torque in akrapovic manual? They said the torque for these nuts are 22Nm but I'm afraid it will break the maniford bolts.
@@motobolt7796 Nice, I'm waiting to see what Black Widow will produce for this bike. I've been told they are realising it on December. Can't wait to get rid of that stock exhaust :D
@@povilaslondon they’ve been great with the previous gen and well priced, but hopefully a little more aesthetic! I’m watching for what Austin Racing bring to the party, love the design and finish on their cans. Shame there’s such limited choice for now and bet you can’t wait to hear that music to the ears!
@@motobolt7796 true, the only thing I don't like about Austin Racing is that you need to destroy your oem exhaust in order to fit it. Also for almost a slip on they are way too expensive
@@povilaslondon very true, good point! Although I did hear rumours they’re making a full system for the 2021 MT09.. hopeful as they’ve just brought out a twin can full system for KTM 890 and 1290 Duke’s which sound insane!
It's really hard to tell if it's a full exhaust, maybe he spent hours pulling the headers off and the entire exhaust system apart just to install a slip-on can
fantastic video. Best one I've seen. Ja best video at TH-cam, thanks
Really great explanation ❤
Shame the bolt for the end can bracket is so long, probably gonna shorten that a bit 😂
How to protect the Akrapovic end can, from accidental tip over
Awesome vid mate helped me out👌
Can't you just leave the sensor where it is routed and just plug it in when the exhaust is in place?
How much would it cost to get this exhaust and have it installed since I wouldn’t be able to do it myself?
Great video. Thank you
Always a pleasure, thanks!
Hello,how can I get the 02sensor extender?

Does the mount for the can come with the exhaust?
Where do I buy it I can’t find it anywhere

Yeah as soon as we can get access, not much thanks to Covid keeping everything shut

is there any exhaust sliders that fit this bike?
Did you end up tuning it too?
With the db killer off, does it hurt your ears on the road?
does it shoot flames?
Yeah mainly on gearchanges and downshifting but not as much as shorter cans I’ve had in the past
