The Canyon was my first choice when I was shopping around for my first delay pedal last year for my bass rig. It quickly became my favorite pedal. It so much FUN!! I love the unusual and ambient sounds and textures. I just wish there was a way to use the looper function with the different delays onboard. For that, I can only rank it an 8.5 out of 10 ⭐️s.
The correct way IS “NEW-EX”. I find it funny that it is but most everyone I know says “NUCKS”. Some folks get real hot when I say it wrong. It’s hilarious how triggered folk can get over a mispronunciation
@SeanPierceJohnson amazing review and demo of a beautiful pedal. If you could choose only one between this and the NUX Duotime for a church p&w pedalboard which would you take? Thanks!
Thanks man! I can’t comment too greatly on your question, only because I haven’t played the DuoTime. But based on what I’ve seen and heard I’d say this: The Tape Echo is a very specific sound. The Tape delay in the Atlantic is more of an Echoplex sound. And the DuoTime is much more of a multi delay line digital delay. Kind of like a rack delay.
To be honest, for a cheap unit it aint so bad, I think that in some ways it has more to offer than boomers and bosses, and is wonderfully uncluttered 👍 I am looking at the strymon Volante but, do I really want all of the clutter that comes with it ? Not really needing a looper, or midi and definitely don't wish to mess around with a dopey computer, just a unit that can be adjusted on the fly while gigging, most of us guitarists don't need more than around 4 or 5 different settings, yes, I am impressed with your demo thankyou, there are so many shitty demo's on u tube, most are obviously not working guitarists, must look further into this pedal. Thanks again and best wishes to you 🙂👍
Really quite different. Like an Echorec, an EchoPlex and Roland Space Echo. They define periods in pop music. Digital came along and flipped everything on it's head. 🐌 then analog did what it does. Pulled us the other way. These times are the Valhalla of music gear. Just dig in and make music.

Great demo and playing and your usual intensity!
Thanks Janice! Gotta bring it. Hope you’re doing well.
Great pedal, just got one last week and I agree with your review, especially about the reverb. I am hoping the fix it with a firmware update.
Great demo. Well done there, youngster.
Thanks Pops! Youngster’s gonna keep on youngstin’
Where did you get the "Who killed Laura Palmer" t-shirt?
@@MrMissingReel random Black Friday Hot Topic find. They don’t stock them in store. I believe they’re a print-on-demand deal.
@@SeanPierceJohnson Thank you, Sean 👍🏻

Thanks! I’ve not played the Duotime so I can’t give you an honest comparison
Great tones! This pedal sounds exactly what I need. I wanted to ask you where this pedal fits between the DuoTime and the Atlantic - thoughts?

thanks Rick! i also like that this is an uncluttered pedal as well.
Hi Sean… How if the mooer 005 compare to the MXR EVH 5150 overdrive? Which one preamp pedal who’s close to the real EVH 5150 tube amp? Can u help me 🙏
can u save presets with it and control them via midi?
Yes

I want to hear the PEDAL, I so wish that the big boy distortion would SHUT UP !
Still not better than a Memory man
the memory man is great and always will be! but this is based on a Space Echo and not a Memory Man. so it's not trying to do the memory man "thing".
@@SeanPierceJohnson You're probably right but honestly I couldn't tell the diffference on a track. But I'm not a delay expert. 😉
