    Love your uploads. I took cosmology at Votec in highschool but life doesn't always work out how we want and never got to persue a career in hair. Ive followed several of your diy's with smashing results . I had a suggestion. You should have a lay person do the diy part with your guidance. I dont see anyone else doing it and think it would bring new viewers. But im not a content creator she maybe im wrong.

      That's a really good idea! It would prove to the audience that even they could do it.

    I would be afraid to do this myself. Awesome result.

    Loved the side by side comparison of the two haircuts. A diy is fun but every once in a while going in for the cut feels good.

    Love the whites and lights! Much easier to see what and how you are doing your cut! But best of all - the results!! 🎉🎉🎉

    Love the looks. I tried one of your cuts before for shag or mullet but messed up bad on the sides near the bangs. I know you show all of the parted sections but could you dumb it down some more and actually show you doing all of the parting? : ) Thanks

    I am working towards this cut Jake 👌 I am grieving out my shaved sides. Hair is long and thick. Can this cut only work with shaved sides grown out or would the amount of hair I have mean the style is still achievable? Cheers buddy you rock 🤘

    it the same cut on curly hair?

    • @jakethompsonhair
      @jakethompsonhair  ปีที่แล้ว

      if you are going to cut on curly hair i would keep all sections longer for the spring back of the curl, just so it's not to short when dry. But yes the cut will be the exact same.

    Why do some "professional" hairdressers botch curtain bangs so badly when clients ask for them and give them straight-across-above-the-eyebrow bangs?

    • @jakethompsonhair
      @jakethompsonhair  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey there vall3girl, depending on the person that is sitting in my chair and their face shape & how balanced it is. I as a "professional" hairdresser like to take into all these things that makes there face shape unique and how i could make their face shape look the best. Curtain bangs come in all shapes and sizes like peoples faces do, some people look better with a shorter (open up their face more), some look better w/a more mid length (to open or create width) to their face, and some look better w/the longer (to show of movement) of there hair. So to summarize "face shape" is a key consideration most professionals should address before deciding on what kind of "bang" the person should have, then they should address hair texture, cowlicks and their lifestyle to keep up the bangs/fringe. So why do "professionals botch to more straight instead of keeping at a curtain angle? well some professionals are not thoroughly trained in fringe and w/a few wrong cuts it can go horribly wrong real fast, so my recommendation is find a hairdresser on social media in your area that does a lot of what your wanting before making an appointment. Hope this helps.
      Jake

      And that is the beautiful thing about "your" hair, you can do whatever is right for you.

      THANKS SO MUCH TAMMY! You truly are so sweet to support the channel! And about your question on how to do more instead of multiple $2 every time, just move the round button to the right to increase the amount before pushing button to go live. Hope that helps. Much love Jake
