@@gatersontour if you go back go further south down the west wales coast, it’s breathtaking, we used to have a caravan for years sited on a seasonal pitch about 25 miles south of Aberystwyth
Love the intro tune…our favourite 😍 Steve hope your hand is ok, Anna my mam was a Welsh Williams, so I love my half Welsh half English heritage. Great vlog both although the funicular was off my comfort zone 😱😍xx
We love the epidemic sounds now! Yes it healed well refused a plaster! Lol. I'm a cornish Williams my dad was from there. We could be long distance relatives ha ha. Oh the cliff railway was slightly high 😳 when I looked up it was really steep.... 😳 thanks for watching xxx
It's still so beautiful on a rainy day. I went for a 4-day stay a couple weeks ago and it was pouring down for most of it. Luckily it was a blazingly sunny day in my last few hours before heading back home :)
I love Aber. I studied there for five years and visit as often as I can. You made me 'homesick!' Thank you for this video, really enjoyed. Only thing I would say is there's no w in Aberystwyth. It's A ber yst wyth (the y sounds like an i) and the old church near the castle you mentioned, it's always packed with students, locals, even lecturers! It's a living, breathing church. Glad you enjoyed, I'm subscribing. 🙂💜
Aww Its a beautiful place so glad we visited. We never went into any bars we headed further down and for the life of me can't remember what it's called anyway was a quaint little pub we went to. Its great when you have wonderful memories of a place. Thanks for watching and fab for subscribing!
@@gatersontour Thanks for replying. Aber is a great lil night out, but is quite student-orientated. Rummers was my favourite though so many to choose from. If you can put up with some of the students and probably avoid weekends, tuesdays and wednesdays then it will be fairly quiet. Your other half if he likes beer, the Ship and Castle is a CAMRA pub. Something for everyone in Aber, please do visit again! x
@stephrichards4611 we love to mix with anyone age doesn't matter as think it's great to speak to different groups of people. We are definitely coming back next year sometime when we start our full time travel.
My hometown. Please go back when its sunny, the views are spectacular on a beautiful clear day to the point where you can see north Wales from the prom. Also may be worth visiting a little village about 7 miles out of town called Borth. Theres plenty of caravan sites there and at the end of the village is another little place called Ynyslas where there are sand dunes and glorious beach. I used to go there very often when i was a child. Many moons ago when the tide was out in Ynyslas you could walk over the estury to another town called Aberdyfi, but you had to be mindful of the tide as you may get stranded there as its about 30 miles away on road.
Thank you for all the info. We are definitely going back as what a beautiful place and would love to see it when it's sunny. Will go google all these places Thank you again ❤️
When you expressed the hope, the chap with his finger on the button wouldn't let go made me laugh. Some years ago my son worked there and let go a few too many times so got the sack. If the button is released, the system stops and has to be reset.
Im not sure if ive been here before! maybe I have but i cant remember! Anyway its a bit gloomy but like us you dont let it ruin your time. great views from up top eh!
Oh have you been here! No we never let the weather spoil it for us we enjoy wherever we go. Yes great views the ride up was so worth it. Thanks for watching 👀
Strange this came out a day early so I missed it ;) Steve if I'd known you had such a life changing injury I wouldn't have forced you to use your drinking hand over the weekend hahaha
