This video is from a day where I shore a few North Ronaldsay sheep on the way to Laherdane in Mayo where I did a sheep shearing demonstration.
Excuse me for looking so tired, we were awfully busy at this stage of the season and I had a dirty head cold too!

Wool pillows and bedding are the best.

Just thinking how much protein goes into those big horns on the rams? The horns are very similar to Merino horns. Are there any crook makers left to make use of them I wonder. Impressive pen of store boys.

I do love the North Rolandsay sheep, lovely fleece & magnificent horns. To paraphrase A Midsummer Night's Dream, though they be but little they are fierce!

I don't mind horns, nearly all our sheep have horns. 😁 I shear the odd Jacob. 👍
