      It's a beautiful day to be a Dynamo/app developer, that's for sure!

      @@AussieBIMGuru Do we have the ability to edit existing wall/floor profiles with 2022 through API?

      Yes I believe this is now possible. Keep an eye on the rhythm package and john pierson's social posts - he seems on top of this.

    Fantastic Videos as always Gavin, I would confirm however the inner loops in the API for floor sketches has been around a while, I wrote a python shell script probably back in 2016 that took a room and made a floor finish from its boundary loops including cut outs for columns or inner rooms. Great Videos and hot off the press... Nice work! :)

      Interesting... I tried this before also and usually got warnings about more than one loop being present prior to '22. Maybe it is the post editability function that is newly added and I was tackling the 2+ method incorrectly.

      @@AussieBIMGuru Yeah, also wonder if it may be something in the Dynamo environment, the script I wrote was just in the Revit Python Shell. Happy to send you the script if you're interested (if I can find it ;) )

      @@67Keldar nah I trust you're on the money here! I'll do some digging on the specifics, you might be right here that it was a dynamo specific update here.

    I just can't decide whether I'm more excited about what's new in Revit or what's new in Dynamo! ;) Watched both overviews, great job!

      Thanks! I'd say it's a tie for me - much needed features on both sides. Once they make ifc parameter mapping easier for basic users it will be revit that wins though! Having said that your series is great, still need to watch the last few when life gives me a chance :)

      @@AussieBIMGuru well honestly... Dynamo is way more exciting than IFC... but don‘t tell anyone! 😂

    `Sheet.SetSheetName` is uses the BuiltInParameter enumeration to set the name. This IS important because when using `SetParameterByName` it will (and often does) fail. SetParameterByName is also not cross-compatible between languages.

      @AussieBIMGuru  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ah that actually... makes a lot of sense!
      Thanks for clarifying. The language point is great as well, I've actually had lots of challenges with tutorials on YT and language inputs (and file formatting, some countries using commas as decimals - nightmare for custom SVG/CSV nodes).

    Very Interesting...Thanks for updating us.. What is the revit api method name for creating holes in the floors in 2022?

    • @AussieBIMGuru
      @AussieBIMGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is this function here. The main change is it now takes a list of curveloops instead of just one.

    Can we change "As Indicated" scale in revit to CAPS "AS INDICATED" using dynamo?

    • @AussieBIMGuru
      @AussieBIMGuru  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hrm not that I am aware of. The 'varies' setting only relates to some things.
