This concert was pure joy to be able to stream from my home in San Jose, CA. Thank you so much for honoring James' legacy of music. It is love.
Such a perfect, beautiful, inspiring and FLAWLESS performance. This was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for getting this kind of material available for everybody. I write from Colombia, South America.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
A beautiful piece by James! On first listen, it played for me like a suite of several of his prior works (Willow, A Perfect Storm, etc).Glad that this recording is available. Thanks to the performers and others involved in making this performance happen.
I’m a massive fanatic of Mr Horner’s music
and collecting his soundtracks to my archive,
But, NEVER in all my born days have I heard
A Forest Passage from 2000 before!
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
It sounds so majestic and beautiful…!

My favourite part was the crescendo
starting from 9:57, all the way
up to the big finish at 10:10!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have high hopes that there’s going to be
another video with the other unreleased work:
Spectral Shimmers from 1978,
AND,
An album for CD, Vinyl and Spotify
so I can listen to the beautiful concert works
including: Pas De Deux and Collage!

Thank you for sharing this with us. :)
I love the quote from The Perfect Storm at 5:36 the rhythmic energy is too good not too use again in another context.
On my gosh thank you! I missed the concert livestream so I'm very grateful for this video. As for the piece (which I hadn't heard before) it has all the warmth that I love in Horner's work and many familiar textures from some of my favourite scores (Legends of the Fall, The Wrath of Khan, The Perfect Storm, Fievel Goes West, Natty Gann) - the ending (those trumpets! those horns!) is now one of my favourite Horner moments. Thanks to all involved!
Koncert przepiękny! Uczestniczyłam, słuchałam. Ogromna przyjemność !!
I hear a couple of pieces like willow and the perfect storm.
5:36 I love the reference to The Perfect Storm!
I love this piece of maestro James Horner, i'm a big big fan of James Horner, and i found out everyday this music on internet but i couldn't find it.
Thank you so so much, it's a présent for me, really❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰
This piece was written after Willow and The Perfect Storm or before?
I just read that it was written in 2000, which is the year The Perfect Storm came out. Idk about Willow
Please who's movies themes suit?
“A Forest Passage” is an original concert work, by James Horner. However, some of the thematic ideas and motifs do also show up in certain Horner film scores. But the piece is not a film score medley.
@@spectralshimmers thanks! I'me liked concert suite! Interesting themes motifs inspired
I wonder if this piece is based on the book by Ernst junger.
