I bought "Mouse Ears" solely for the name! I love Hostas and have a few which are all in pots and they're such easy plants to look after. I wish I'd kept their name tags but I didn't realise the importance when I first started gardening. I now record all my new plants. You have a lovely selection.
Thanks so much, Mouse Ears really is amazing just love the miniature beauty! They really are low maintenance plants in the right spot, very tough! Thanks so much, I’m sure the collection will keep growing this year!
I’ve actually been planting a few hostas just nestled under shrubs in pots recently, for the smaller varieties they seem to be ok with it. But ones with larger pale leaves are very sun sensitive!
So easy to grow in the Pacific Northwest except they can be eaten all the way to the roots by wild rabbits. Snugs and snails can be controlled by Sluggo with no problems. Good idea to grow in pots so the bunnies cannot get to them as quickly.
Wow , definitely don’t have that problem here! Such beautiful plants, the bees were on the last of the blooms today, still looking healthy even in pretty sunny spots! Enjoy your hostas!!
