@@carparthero Thank you for the insight, it's interesting to see the way basketball is changing to become a high market industry driven by social media, marketing, and ads. Sports betting and other lines of revenue are generating an absurd amount of economic stimulus for sporting cities in America. The talent level is climbing too but as you mentioned, pay walls begin to weed out potentially raw talent that use to have a chance in the early 80s and 90s. Unfortunately, everything is driven by endorsements and money first.
Basketball aside, does it seem everything is becoming ultra competitive these days? Like I’m hearing stories of extremely smart/talented people struggle getting regular jobs and getting rejected from top universities makes you wonder how competitive our society has become.
That's a great point, I wanted to also mention how many picks in the draft are given to international players. It ranges each year but would be between anywhere between 4 on the low end, and 12 on an insanely high end! It does slightly decrease your chances to get to the league for US players but it's a margin of .03%!
6:02 This must be two draft classes combined. '15 and '16. Gotta admit that as a Suns fan it was not a good reminder seeing Marquese Chriss in this clip 😂 At least Tyle Ulis was good for his tiny size
The secret sauce? You gotta become obsessed. Think out all the details and know the in and outs so well. Have no holes in your game unless you have extra height.
I know people who started playing basketball at 13 and 14years old and ended up getting to play at the high school and community college level. Just depends on how much effort and dedication you'll put in to get there.
If he's getting reps and training on a professional level, he's going to have a clear advantage in terms of development over other 19 year olds not getting drafted. Same concept non if you've played a video game long enough, you are bound to get better and better
How much can we account for external factors? I’m sure it kinda comes down to who you know and decision making. I went to high school with 4 kids who are in the nfl right now. What they all have in common is that their parents played bro hall and they made the correct decisions to get a head start. Although I suppose that’s a small example
These #'s are for dorks. Don't think about them. What you need to do is find your player comp at your height, then incorporate his skill set, then perform. Thats all you can do, thinking about how many more guys are trying to do the same wont help you. I went to the legendary Pike HS in Indianapolis. Jeff & Marquis Teague went to the NBA from there (Robert Vaden & Courtney Lee as well but they were 6'5), around the corner was Eric Gordon & Mike Conley, all below average nba height BUT extraordinary ATHLETICISM thats the secret if you're under 6'5. My credentials: I train Ashlynn Shade current UCONN guard, my son is the #2 2026 player in Indiana. Work & be smart about it!
Your right, but the stats are even lower if you include candidates from the G-League. People forget that basketball is an international sport. NBA has the shortest roster slots and your not just competing with people in America, but all over. So many great players from Europe and other countries. In my opinion. Even playing NCAA is success, let alone g-league, and then Pro in another other country or NBA
The NBA is a specialist League so that's scoring shooting playmaking & defense if your not in the 1% of those categories your out, only certain players are stars or super stars LeBron AD KD Book Harden & Kawhi for example everyone one else on their teams are specialist in their respective positions like Curry is a super star shooting specialist and Ant Man is a 2 way threat specialist everybody else have set roles by at least there 5th year of their careers if they make it.......Kris Dunn is my favorite NBA player because he fought his way back to the League and completely defined his role as a elite perimeter defensive player a top tier POA defender with a solid 3 ball and floater game slashing and playmaking but all in all he's in the 1% of elite defenders and the LA Clippers did there research so now he'll replace Russell Westbrook as their true Point Guard.......
I was at the california classic all three days and on the third day we were walking to the vip club because we got free vip bands for a day for no reason and I saw like the game courtside and the speed everyone was moving at and the intensity was insane, also I was rooting against china.

10:03 bro zoomed in on Lowry cake 💀
How did you know that was Kyle Lowry so fast 🤨
Fr tho
@@HOOPSVSTHEWRLDthere’s this thing we can do with videos on TH-cam called “pausing”. It lets u see what’s on the screen for a longer time

@@HOOPSVSTHEWRLD that's the biggest UNO REVERSE CARD I've seen in the comments XD
Do more videos like this😮
Thank you! Definitely going to be making a wide variety of content soon!
Could you make one for the NFL? That'd be dope.
Truee
We have the same chance of making it to the NBA as we do winning the lottery 😅
how is bro only at 43 subs! now 44 :)
That’ll change, I’m newly subscribed 💯
The secret sauce? You gotta become obsessed. Think out all the details and know the in and outs so well. Have no holes in your game unless you have extra height.
am starting basketball late and have decent genetics, do you think i have a chance to make it to the next level at starting at a older age of 14?
I know people who started playing basketball at 13 and 14years old and ended up getting to play at the high school and community college level. Just depends on how much effort and dedication you'll put in to get there.
10:04 gotta love emo jimmy 😂
How will this affect Bronny’s legacy?
If he's getting reps and training on a professional level, he's going to have a clear advantage in terms of development over other 19 year olds not getting drafted. Same concept non if you've played a video game long enough, you are bound to get better and better
The same thing can be said about when people say the #1 college football team could compete with the very worst NFL team
Its hard, like I am out here barely getting roster spots in high school
0:59 offbrand kris tyson💀
Do your chances get slimmer when your short but what if your short and you play like a over 6ft players dose it change
im making it
How much can we account for external factors?
Work & be smart about it!
nah frick the stats ima make it
Me too
Man…..Life going to hit you hard.
I still WILL BE one of the only nba player from india and i WILL win atleast one chip in my career
I think yeah
11:15 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅
Your right, but the stats are even lower if you include candidates from the G-League.
People forget that basketball is an international sport. NBA has the shortest roster slots and your not just competing with people in America, but all over. So many great players from Europe and other countries.
In my opinion. Even playing NCAA is success, let alone g-league, and then Pro in another other country or NBA
Watch "I'm possible maths by Micah Lancaster"
most 7footers believe it or not have the skill level of a middle schooler buh got tha height
Damn i got humbled
I’m still making it
welp this just killed off the last of my nba dreams welp i guess ill go play soccer
I was at the california classic all three days and on the third day we were walking to the vip club because we got free vip bands for a day for no reason and I saw like the game courtside and the speed everyone was moving at and the intensity was insane, also I was rooting against china.
I remember even in the early nineties my mom and I going to an NBA game where we were blessed to sit near the court. (It was the Wizards vs. Hornets.)The speed and intensity was insane even then!!
I’m gonna make the nba trust me I’ll work harder than any other player
@@HighDolphin_NFL We believe you!🏀🌍
Thanasis Antetokounmpo has entered the room. 😂
This video shows how there will never be another NBA player like LeBron James.
Dude went 1st overall straight outta Highschool and has dominated the league for over 20 years.
He is truly a once in a lifetime player
South sudan vs usa makes every thing you talked here x0
I tried super hard played since I was little furthest I got was the ncaa the nba literally is a lightning strike
I just want people to do a lil deep dive on how many people that get drafted to the NBA are brothers cousins nephews step sons or had family members that at some point were close with former NBA players etc of people who have played in the NBA that’s why when people were mad about bron and bronny I was so confused there’s less than 30 people that have made the league not under those circumstances
It's basic math. You have to be one of the best 400 basketball players in the world.
Every nba player, is their own Michael Jordan in their own story.
I was born in 93’ graduated in 11’ my age group at that time had a 1/1500 chance to make the league , meaning 8 players out of every 12k would make the NBA , I wasn’t one of those 8 yall 😔💯 but I have a friend in the NFL Tevin Coleman and friend I n the MLB Kyle Funkhouser his older brother Matt was the truth on the court love my childhood 🙌🏾
