Just so you know that skid plate is called ballistic nylon and it's just as strong as steel but doesn't dent and doesn't rust once the coating is scratched like steel does. It was used to lighten the overall weight of the truck.
This is how the TRD Pro version should come from the factory. The grill color match made a huge difference. Toyota could take a lesson or 2 from this. If they offered a truck setup like this from the factory it would sell like crazy
Beautiful work. The color matching makes all the difference in the world as does the improved stance. I don't know what Toyota was thinking with the Hulk 'stache grill surround.
Deleting the chrome and new wheels is essential to make this truck look perfect. I took a slightly different path but ended up with a great result. I have your hard cover on the rear and it's terrific. Great work.
As a TH-camr myself, I don't think anyone here knows the work that went into editing and shooting this! Not only is it a great-looking video, but what you did is simply awesome. I was surprised that a 3 1/2 lift would allow no fender-rub for those size tires. Is that the case for every gen tundra? I just got a Reg cab (2 door) '07 Tundra with only 73K miles on it. I'll bet you could make that already cool-looking truck POP!
Props to doing it under 20 minutes brother ! Very nice outcome and I agree with the chrome I got a black sr5 with matte rims I can’t stand chrome or at least if it doesn’t match
I love the subtle changes!! Definitely makes the truck look sharper. I am not a big fan of chrome either, but now I know what to do with mine when it’s delivered. I went with the black limited. Looking forward to doing these upgrades to mine as well. Thanks!!!
Love the work you did on the red 2022. You make it seem too easy. I think the 3 1/2 inch lift was a good call and the Nitto tires set that truck off just right! I have a 22 platinum and was wondering how high to go. I think I know now. My truck is red with black also. Thanks for a great presentation.
Looks great! I would have gone matte black on the grill surround. Much easier than trying to match paint. Same for rear bumper cover plates. Overall love the look of these new Tundras.
I was thinking that aswell but Toyota does sell thos pieces color matched in other trims so I'm curious if I can just purchase it already painted in all their colors 🤔
Did you guys remove the air dam from the front of the vehicle and did you also remove the felt from the wheel well to get rid of the rubbing at full turn?
Love the truck and the build so far! My only gripe has nothing to do with the truck or build, but the odd sporadic focusing from the camera on the video. in some area's it was difficult to see which part you were showing when installing.
This looks great - the paint scheme is how Toyota should have made them to begin with. 2 questions. If I wanted this on my '22 Tundra, would I buy the parts then find a local installer to put them on or would I need to travel to your location? Next, how much would all of this cost if your team did the installation?
Check out our dealer locator here. www.roughcountry.com/dealer-locator/ You should be able to find one that can sell, and install for you locally. If you are wanting to have us do it, call 800-222-7023 ask for Seth in installs. He can get you an exact pricing breakdown.-Gaston
A little different but along the same lines I installed their 3.5 full kit (including new leafs) on my XJ in one weekend. Was not bad at all, great instructions and videos.
I’m curious and surprised why didn’t you replace the sway bar for a trd one. It makes a huge difference on the ride of the truck. Plus, it could have added a red touch to the front bottom of the truck to match the exterior.
I have a 22 tundra 1794 edition 4by can you do the same thing with mine as you did with this red and black one? Love the rims you chose my ride is silver and is crying for toning down. My company delivers to the transformer place in Dyersburg. Will my 18 wheeler fit on your property while I shop. ? Figured you were in Colorado or California. Glad to know now. I’m in Mississippi.
Hoping someone can answer this. I got a quote to install the Rough Country Lift Kit, but they also quoted an additional icon 3" Suspension System (which is $3324 for parts and labor) is this needed?
Well done on the truck and vid. Red isn't normally my color, but man it looks good if everything else is done right. I'm thinking Army Green or Lunar Rock. I'll have to find a shop in Phoenix to install all the good stuff. Got one you can recommend?
Do you know what I just realized?! That weird chrome grill surround .... is the Shape of the U in Tundra, turned upside down. Look at the font of the TUNDRA logo! Same for that silver/grey upside down U shape in the center console below the dash, In fact... that Shape is all over the truck, in different orientations.
Love this set up. I have a 2020 and would love to put this setup on my truck. Could you tell me the lift you put on, I see where there are a couple of 3.5 inch lifts. Did you have to do any trimming for the tires?
It’s crazy how much of a difference the color match front makes
Holy cow that is a gorgeous build. I like the new tundra and that just made it better.
Glad you like it!

Yeah, I addressed that later in the build, but it got cut for time. We figured it would generate comments anyway. - Gaston
@@RoughCountryTV Truck looks great though. Color matching really made a huge difference.
Ford guy here and you killed it! Wow Toyota!
You had me chuckling at "Debris Deflector" :D -- awesome truck.
That is a sick truck!! I would drive that in a heart beat!
Love the colour match. Truck looks awesome.

Great job Rough Country! Incredible difference, the body colored grille shell and bumperettes is perfect.
Thanks 👍

Beautiful truck the new Tundra has grown on me the side of the truck reminds me of the 3rd Gen Tacoma
You did a great job "excellent" for a new Tundra 2022. Wonderful!
My next vehicle is going to be a truck. Awesome work on this tundra. Gave me a lot of ideas.
Right on!
AWESOME! LOVE IT MAN. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MINE. I PRE-ORDER THE TRD PRO. I LOVE THE 3.5 LIFT
It’s gorgeous. Really good looking. Love the mods.
I love that truck bro. great job. I'll have to remember to talk to you when I buy my Tundra
Thank You Almighty God for showing me that I will buy one for myself
it looks better than the Trd pro. what a beauty

Thanks for watching!

Getting rid of that Chrome makes the truck look 10 times better
Tundra Is looking awesome, glad to see the suspension kit includes the control arms along with the rear trailing arm brackets.
Still on the fence about this Tundra, but you did a super job with the build!
(Edit) You guys ARE working on a solution to the bumpers, right?
Fix the gapping lower jaw of the truck! Man yall made this look good
You got my sub man. Milo’s in the house!!!!✊🏿💯🏁🏁 AWESOME!!! Always Watching. ✊🏿💯💯. Always Supporting..🏁🏁
Thanks for the sub
Paint match grill surround is much better than black. The grill is massive enough. Black surround would make the grill look even bigger.
I think the best thing that was done here is the color match on the front. I think it is ugly factory but you guys really nailed it.
Looks great! This gives me ideas of what to do when I get this truck.
Great job.....well done .....looks beautiful❤.....watching from GERMANY😊
Nicely done! I like the red on red, it looks great. But I think matte black would look good also.
They look great!! Like a big Tacoma
Awesome build! I realize it’s a rough country video, but some AMP steps would’ve been sweet for clearance.
Be sure to be on the lookout for our Retract power steps. They are not out for this Tundra yet, but will be soon!- Gaston
@@RoughCountryTV how soon? by this June summer?
That's a good looking truck!🤙🏽🤙🏽

Any info on the lift kit for us air bag suspension Tundra owners?
Beautiful job!
Thank you!
It looks awesome I have 2022 and you have givin me so good ideas
Look great I love it the color fit well without Crome 👍
So much Yes
Man I need to do this build on my new 24!
Looks tough. Definitely looks better
Great build. Want those SR2 sides steps asap. Any timeline on when they'll be available for the 22 Tundra Crewmax??
That’s a cool looking beard Dude
I love the body color
its a beast out there.
Looks nice and clean 🔥much improved
Nice build. Very well done.
Beautiful upgrades
That’s a great build, makes me want to opt for a cheaper sr5 than getting the iforce max
Great job 👏 I like that truck
Great work, that looks amazing!
Thanks a lot!
Love the color match. I wonder how cool it would be to color match the emblem.
looks good , great job guys
Badass!!! Great job.

Perfection!
Perfect lift. 🔥
Looks good 👍 👌
Thank you for this video.
Perfect mall crawler
Couldn’t hear your voice with that background music! Thanks for the video
looks great, best looking 22 Tundra I have seen yet. I gotta say, the camera work on this video was nauseating and you need more lighting!
Noted! Thanks Andy!
can I send my truck into your shop and have the exact same build? What state is this in? I just ordered the RC tonneau cover. Great work!
Once lifted did you have to recalibrate gearing Speedo
You Nailed it !!!
I want see what you do with Nissan Titan and Titan XD, as well as Frontier and Tacoma.
Great job bro😎

Love the build but maybe like power running boards would’ve been better
The truck looks awesome. Where can I find the step bars you installed on the truck?

@Rough Country Super nice mods. What is a rough estimate for these upgrades minus the wheels/tires? Thanks
Will you add extended travel shocks to future lift kits for the tundra?
What does it do to fuel mileage? How much does it average now? Haven’t decided if I want to do mine yet

Job well done

Truck looks insane bro nice job…do they make these wheels in 22’s ?
Right now they only come in 17x9, 20x9 and 20x10..-Gaston
Will there be a Low Profile Bed Cover for the 6.5 bed for the 2022 tundra?

Really hoping bilstein comes out with some 8112/8100 series shocks for these 🙂
Any idea why RC's coilover lifts won't fit 2wd models?
Now only if I can get my hands on a 22 tundra.
