Great job! Fantastic song! I keep calling Jellyfish the second best band ever. Forever proud to have worked with Andy Sturmer himself on my own old The Merrymaker's album Bubblegun. Keep up the good work!
One of the greatest bands of the 90's is an understatement. I'm 65 and I say they were one of the greatest bands of all time. So much talent for 4 guys in one band reminds me a lot of another band that had 4 guys. What could have been if they would have stayed together. You guys do a really nice job for sure.
I know you wrote this 2 years ago but I just had to comment....I agree with you 100 percent....in fact, I think this is one of the greatest albums every produced...it is perfect....just perfect...every song...I was very sad they broke up...
I had never heard of Jellyfish until I heard Bandgeeks do this cover. The song is an earworm, I can't get it out of my head. And I like Bandgeeks rendition of it best of all. Thanks Richie and friends.
Wow, guys. Very impressive. I've been in a room with the band like this and heard them pull it off live. To hear a band that ISN'T Jellyfish doing it? Wow.
This is absolutely fantastic, well done to all of you. I’m a musician myself but not good enough to pull this song off but good enough to know how difficult it is to do. Absolutely exceptional, respect.
Super ambitious taking on Jellyfish covers, but you guys nail it from top to bottom...musicianship, vocal harmonizing, production quality, and all the little textural elements. You guys are supremely gifted musicians. Would love to see even more Jellyfish covers. Keep up the good work!
I just listened to JF this afternoon in the car. First time hearing you guys do this song. 1st thing... your choice of covers in right up my alley. 2nd... when I listen to you, I'm smiling the whole time.
Saint Pinnocchio would be proud. You crushed this fantastic and highly underrated tune from a band no one knows...but should. Awesome harmonies. thanks for this.
Holy fucking shit. That was stunning. I was the drummer in Rooney and had the pleasure of playing a couple of these songs w/ Roger live one time. This just boggled my mind and illustrates the total genius of jellyfish.
@@nedbrower4953 Of course! and yeah I absolutely love them/RJMJ/Jason Falkner/Bleu and the whole neo-powerpop vibe!....Jelly has definitely influenced my music! Just put out a record myself influenced highly by that style :-)
@@nedbrower4953 A tight cover of a tight classic! I remember seeing this on TH-cam years ago right after having been introduced to Jellyfish by Drake Bell's music (he also performed either on this day or around this time at the same venue, and Bleu joined him!)
Jellyfish? I had never heard of them. Now I have and can't get this song out of my head. Thanks Richie and Band Geeks. Always look forward to your stuff.
Excellent job everyone, I know this must have taken a fair amount of work to figure out and rehearse. I love Jellyfish and really enjoyed this...thanks for sharing!!
I never heard the original, but this sounds great. I loved it! It's not easy to get a compliment out of me when it comes to music. I think other musicians can relate. After playing for so many years, it's pretty easy to pick out what I consider to be sub-par talent, playing simple riffs, and not much effort. Those bands success usually come down to a much more talented producer, and manager. Nothing irritates me more than seeing those kinds of bands succeed in big ways. Don't get me wrong. Good for them, making their dreams come true, but what about musicians, or bands with real, natural talent? They usually get the shaft. Only God knows why it works that way. I wish you people the best of luck. Again, you sound great!
I’ve been a Beatles fan for 30 years, I just discovered Jellyfish. The jellyfish renaissance is coming!!!
Brother ,this quote should be in stone outside every guitar store.
Jellyfish and King's X . Are the 2 most underrated bands of all time. Oh.....and Big Wreck.
Philip Hall you are so spot in with Kings x and jellyfish!
agree
So true, and both came out within a few years of each other. It's criminal they didn't reach the status they deserved.
Agreed on all three. Have thought this a hundred times. Good call! I listen to these three bands, along with Punch Bros. more than any others.
don't forget Devin Townsend, Ween, and Everything Everything :)
I'm a fan of all Jellyfish fans. Fantastic cover!
Wow. I mean WOW!!!! That was seriously 10 out of 10. I’m blown away. That was so impressive. Nailed the vocal build-up layering part.
yeah the guitar player / singer killed it
AMAZING GREAT COVER!!! Jellyfish, my favorite band of all times!!
