The first song Floor sang in this series, Vilja Lied (Vilja’s Song) is well worth watching. Floor was first up to sing, but nobody really knew what this “screaming metal singer” could do. Boy, were they ever surprised.

Henk is a famous Dutch opera singer that has performed in the Dutch version of The Phantom for many years. In the first episode of this series, Floor confessed that she was fangirling over him for this performance. She asked Henk to do this duet with her, and he agreed on one condition, that they could also do it with Nightwish when they would perform in the Netherlands. She promised, and then they did this performance, during the last minutes of the Beste Zangers show, when a thunderstorm brook loose and the decor was leaking on all sides and almost coming down. Henk had also never performed this song with a distorted voice before. Later, they did this several times during Floor's solo tour and finally at the Nightwish show in Amsterdam.
The entire 2018 season of Beste Zangers is gold. This song is from the final episode of the season, where all the guests paired up for duets. Floor and Tim Ackermann do a great version of Shallow, and there are several other standout performances, including Henk and Emma Heesters (the blond in red) doing Vivo Per Lei. The show itself is just really well done, and watching the full episodes gives not only great insight into the performers but some great music as well.

All of Floors songs on this show were off the charts. Truly amazing. But this, HOLY SMOKES, how does it get better than this. 'I've watched this countless times and it still gives me the chills. I have to give props to the band, especially the bass and drummer. The band gets over shadowed by Floor and Henke and rightfully so but this whole band just flat R O C K S this song.

We were there in Amsterdam (1st show), and it was a great fan service and as such on of the highlights. Henk though, had in-ears troubles and was clearly a bit overwhelmed by the whole spectacle. Also didn't quite like the drawn-out ending there, after Floor's money note. The start however, with just Floor and keys before the band hit, was phenomenal.
Great reaction! Now you need to checkout them singing Dangerous Games from Jekyl and Hyde, either the video they released during the pandemic or live from Floor's Amsterdam solo show in 2021. Both video's are on Floor's YT channel. Proof that Floor should be in musicals in NY or London.

Unusual to get a copyright block on these. There are (at least) two versions of these clips on youtube - the originals which are on Avrotros's channel which looks as if that's the one you got a copyright block for and one that I'd recommend you try next time you react to anything from this series, which is on a youtube channel called Floor Op TV. As well as including the songs they also include the discussion before and after each song, and have English subtitles.
With Beste Zangers you gotta turn it off, as soon as the BZ logo comes on after the performance, because that's what gets it blocked. Seen this 100 times, and refuse to watch any of this filter, or block paranoia crap.
It wasn’t paranoia. I only do the filter when copyright comes back with a global block. I will make note of that for any other beste zangers video, as I did not know that when editing and uploading this video. Trust me, the filter situation is in NO way a preference or ideal, it is very frustrating. This was my third attempt at uploading that finally got through
To me the best version when these individuals are involved is Nightwish with Marko and Tarja but of course I like my music heavy and this kind of music Tarja is a monster and so is Marko
Personally, I like the version with Henk and Nightwish from November 2022 at Ziggo Dome/Amsterdam better. 1. because I was there 2. because it was really live and not cut together from different takes like in this recording 3. because Floor and Henk are simply best on a live stage 4. because Floor holds the last high note almost twice as long (12 seconds).
I can't speak for the audio, but the official video of the 2022 version is 100% a cut-together edit of both nights they did this. And from the amateur footage I saw of the concerts, there were technical issues both nights for POTO, so it's quite amazing how well the official one was put together to rescue the performance.

@@Columbasta Floor's money note was not the full Euro in the ZiggoDome. It came out weak and slightly flat compared to the BZ tour de force.
