Hey sir! I just wanted to say that I cannot thank you enough for all the help you have given me in these videos along with many others! I've been watching over your English Language Paper 1/2 videos in recent times especially which go over each question within each paper (uploaded around 10 months ago) as I really needed help in English Language and they have already benefitted me tons, (like I could not understand how to write my paragraphs properly nor analyse any quotes in-depth) compared to how clueless I was beforehand. Ye, I remembered ten quotes from the Romeo and Juliet vid and it helped so much. These ten quotes have a large depth of analysis for each one and can help you analyse the play as a whole so I think you will be fine!
Its basically the concept of falling prey to ones own desires. So essentially the main point you can argue when it comes to ID is that the Birlings were so immersed in their desire for wealth, they were slaves to their desire, so much so that they disregarded the lower working class and prioritised themselves and money. This in turn led to them having to face the consequences. I would especially use ID to talk about Arthur Birling. For example if the question was on Social class you can talk about the stratification of society and the dangers of having a ruling class who are blinded by money in contrast with the proletariat who are simply exploited.
@@MindGames_y do you think you could say that all without mentioning Freud or would it be best to say like something along the lines of Freuds theory ,.., is prevalent through the birlings... Something like that Anyway thank you so much idk if your doing the exam Tommorow but hopefully it goes well for you

Post GCSE student here for all books and most poems made before 1950 will always have some context on Christianity. Inspector Calls: "We are members of one body" Ephesians 4:25. Priestley has substituted himself as God, The inspector as St Paul and Gods Word to His socialist ideas. ACC: Quote about Alibaba and Demascus refers to St Pauls transformation from a persecutor of followers to a Christian which is what Happens to Scrooge. Macbeth: Amen stuck in my throat, no longer has a connection to God as he has committed mortal sin.
@@anik-g380 you could memorise these and have them as your “base quotes”, where you can base everything off them. However, you could also learn a few more with your own analysis, but just stick to these as your go-to quotes.
