    I found this lecture amazing, insightful . Now I realize what a great mind Dr. Murthy was, and what a loss his passing away, was, to the world of literature. Brilliant lecture.

    This lecture made me cry precisely when Great Ananthamurthy speaks about chimney sweepers "Weep, Weep".. Insightful, thought provoking lecture.. Reading hindutva vs hindu swaraj makes more sense for me now in current era of blind faith in development. As rightly pointed out by Ananthamurthy sir we should develop a critic of development within our self....

    Very thoughtful lecture. Every time I listen to URA, he reminds us the power of critical thinking.

    17:05 If you go to the Vedas, or to the Quran, or to the Bible, you will get an answer to every question in the world. Where is then the room for original thought?
    Somehow he managed to pack in a huge number of thoughts in just 45 minutes in a slow drawl. A beautiful speech.

    Just to strengthen his standing (which is a moot issue) he accuses his fellow writers who are prolific writers(SL Byrappa) on their great work. every writer expresses their opinions through their works; He is stupid to comment on him;

    It's a shame that IIMB invited this hypocrite to speak on their 40th anniversary. His grossly distorted views on history and culture are lapped up by gullible people who consider him an "intellectual" and "rationalist". He thrived on the tolerant nature of the majority community of this country who let him do as he pleased. However karma caught up with him whether his students or followers want to accept it or not. As a youth he had urinated on an idol trying to " prove" to people that he doesn't fear retribution as "God doesn't reside in idols". Years later he died of renal failure which is the inability to urinate.
