I found that (and I think this works...) Hinata combined with Archaeomancer / (the red Archaeomancer; haven't memorized its name yet) + Sublime Epiphany + Disrupt Decorum essentially perma-goads the entire table. 1) Cast Disrupt Decorum. End turn. 2) Next turn, cast Archaeomancer to get back Disrupt Decorum. Cast Disrupt Decorum. Leave up UU and end the turn. 3) On any interaction you want (probably an anti-Hinata kill spell), cast Sublime Epiphany for UU to (a) counter the interaction, (b) make a token copy of Archaeomancer, (c) bounce Archaeomancer, and (d) draw a card. 4) When the Archaeomancer token enters play, get back Disrupt Decorum. 5) On your turn, cast Archaeomancer to get back Sublime Epiphany. Cast Disrupt Decorum. It's a little hungry, but it was hilarious when I discovered it. Also, I find that, while Hinata can get hated off the board, Hinata opens up access to a _ridiculous_ amount of counterspells that aren't normally live in commander due to their higher cost. Everybody knows Sublime Epiphany, but there's also Arcane Denial (already kinda' a staple but Hinata can cast for just U), Wash Away (Counterspell but can cast for U on any card not cast from hand), Disallow (Counterspell but can target activated and triggered abilities), Ertai's Scorn (Counterspell that only costs U on any spell except the first), Negate (a classic noncreature counter made cheaper by Hinata), and Keep Safe (counters any spell that targets a permanent you control for U... and then it cantrips). Apostle's Blessing is also pretty popular in Hinata because it's basically a free targeted Heroic Intervention for just (phy)W, like a VERY budget Fierce Guardianship or out-of-color Tamiyo's Safekeeping. I'm building my Hinata deck around noncreature triggers (Monastery Mentor, Guttersnipe, Talrand...) + cantrip storm (Opt, Brainstorm, Ponder, etc...), except that I have access to very cheap x-cost haymakers by slapping down Hinata. I don't even _need_ to cast Hinata for most of the game. It's a theme deck... and it would take a VERY long time to explain the theme because the whole deck is based around a character (and his faction / cult) in a book I'm writing. (A lot of my EDH decks work like that, actually.) That's also why I'm trying to squeeze in silly stuff like Shadowspear, an oddly hilarious anti-hexproof tech that I bet most people won't see coming, but makes _perfect_ flavor sense.
I had the idea of making a Hinata deck that's just filled with spells that make creature tokens. Go wide strategies. Mainly just to not lean into the "meta" builds
Generous Gift get's it's cost reduced by 1 because of Hinata, so it ends up costing just 2, but, why not just use Pongify or Rapid Hybridization? They already just cost one blue mana, yes they don't get the discount, but they cost less than Generous Gift WITH the discount, and they do exactly the same, except that instead of a 3/3 elephant, they get a 3/3 ape or lizard.
it has been my experience that every time i play hinata she immediately gets hated off the board.
At least they're paying slightly more for it. In the end you may not win, but you still win.
I like your perspective on this. No matter what I definitely affected the board/game.@@-8h-

I have a Rocco deck that has a lot of infinite mana loops and x spells. It sure is fun to have fevor and martial coup x inf

I like it! But I'd probably have Kykar in the Command Zone for something like that. Or Akim, the Soaring Wind. Hinata and Kykar are both pretty scary.
With Dwell into Dreams, I think Hinata and his cohorts would KO people. Or make your opponents fold.
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
How much would it cost to have you put a deck together?
Patreon tier to build a deck and make a video is $25.

Pongify and Rapid Hybridization only target creatures.
