He wouldn't be able to understand what sex is, and making him view his other mom in a negative way would just be wrong of me. In some cases, when things are too big even for you to handle (not like a "Paislee and Taylor aren't coming to your concert", but in more serious situations, like a divorce or the illness or death of a close family member), you do have to soften things up for young kids to be able to handle them. Little children are also quick to blame themselves in some situations, and those thoughts could heavily damage them, so as parents or older siblings, we need to try our best to prevent that from happening.
