Just a thought, Karin, but I wonder if they have thought about giving her a pet...like a snake(since she likes earthworms)or a cat or dog for company.Koko the gorilla in Calif who loved kittens took care of them like her babies. Rola is so pretty.your videos bless me greatly.Would love to see more of Rola and Monta too.🌄🦍🧡🌻😉
Hello Lynn. Thank you for watching the video. I also think it's a good idea to give her a pet. A snake may escape from the exhibit because it can crawl the wall😆 but other small animals are possible since zoos are professional to keep those small animals. I might have suggested this idea already to the zoo but I will include this topic next time I contact the zoo. Thank you Lynn for your sweet and informative comment.
I can't help but smile about Rola's friend Mimita, the manieth 🐛 I so wish she could have a companion pet, if she's not able to live with her own kind. I'm sure it could be successful, if there is some thoughtfulness in what kind of animal/s that might be a good fit. I know of rescued vervet monkeys living with stray cats, who chooses to live in the monkeys cage; elephant calf with emotional companion sheeps, and Koko, the gorilla, loved her kittens and puppies. All examples mentioned can be found on TH-cam. Also a rescued chimpanzee who loves dolls, and treats them as babies (and also as toys), although she lives in a troop, so her need of companionship is met. About chimpz, I loved the couple at the end. I'm sure it was like you suggested (or a little bit of helpful grooming 🐵?).
Oh what a sweet comment you left me here. Thank you a2Flisa for all the great examples of animals living with other kinds. I have already suggested to the zoo about Rola and Monta's possibility to live with small animals. I hope they take it seriously.🤞 Thank you for watching the video until the end. I'm glad that my understanding of the chimpanzee couple was likely to be correct. But yes, it makes more sense as a part of grooming.😊
It is very sad and emotional to see a gorilla living alone, they, like humans are made to live in communities. Poor Rola living like this alone. this is what we humans have done to primates. very awesome video Karin, thank you.
I agree with you. I hope she does. The Ueno Zoo owns Rola. So, I am hoping she gets to return there before it is too late. Thank you Sammy for watching and for caring about Rola.😊
@@elisabethroth1591 Thank you Elisabeth. You are very kindhearted. In fact Rola has many fans in Japan, and she has her fans visiting her constantly and they are all talking to her😉
Hi, Karin. I'm just now viewing your video so I don't know what or why. Rola and Monto. have been separated. If possible will you provide a link that will explain why they are separated. Yes, I would like to see a pet for her to play with and take care of. I just don't want to see any animal hurting or abused by anyone. I love all animals and God made them for us to learn from. Gorillas have 98% human DNA. Now, that should explain why they have emotions and intelligence.☺ ♥🐒♥🐒❤
Hello, Mary. Thank you for your comment. This is the link to the video I made about why Rola and Monta are separated. th-cam.com/video/6hzDA9HrrYA/w-d-xo.html I understand what you mean, and I totally feel the same.
I love Rola! Maybe she should go to another zoo where they have experience in introducing gorillas to other gorillas? Surely she could at least have a companion like Toto did. I’m sorry but was it Toto who lived with an Orangutan child? Rola seems like she would be a good surrogate maybe? Or perhaps she’s too old? I know she prefers her keepers but what If they leave?😢
Yes, Toto used to live with an orangutan child. Rola's ownership belongs to Ueno if I'm not wrong. So, I'm hoping she can go back there. She can live with retired gorillas or ones in treatment there. Thank you MySkinnydip for your sweet comment as always.😉

Whenever I see Rola or Monta I become sad at the thought those two can't be together. I don't want them to send the rest of their lives. 🤨alone.
Totally. Thank you Camelia for your comment and for caring about Monta and Rola.
I adore the older female gorillas. They keep getting cuter and sweet
Me too! Thank you Just Breathe for watching Rola's video.🌸

Didn't make it to the end, Rola look's sad & lonely & it breaks my heart 💔 Thank you Karin..🙋
It’s totally fine. It’s your choice not to watch it.😉Thank you Sonja for your comment.😊

Why not put her with Monta 😢
It's very unfortunate that she feels uncomfortable to live with a silverback. Thank you for watching the video of Rola.😊
