Hi, great video. The weight you claim for the bags in the review include the compression bag? Do you know the weight for just the sleeping bag, without the compression bag? Thanks!
Great review, I have both the M and L size in the nano 2, looking to get the mini for summer use. I'm 6ft1 and able to fit in the M zipped up, but it's very tight. Used the L at 0c with a base layer and was warm enough for me ( I'm a warm sleeper)
As we always say the temperature feeling depends on the individual person. To us we would be freezing in Mini in such conditions, would have to wear all warm things we got:) And we definitely prefer the L size because of the space you have not only for comfort but also for warmth reasons.
@@WalkingNatureWorldI've only used the Nano 2. Not the mini The Mini will be for summer use for me, won't be taking it much lower than 10c, just purchased yesterday.
@@WalkingNatureWorld im trying to decide between Nano2 in M or L... Im 170cm (5'6"). Did you ever try the M sizes with nano2 ? Im wondering if the M sizing will just limit total height while keeping confort around shouder girdle width the same as the L size (?). Also, did you say the L version gets warmer than the M? Thank you
@Movment Drifter, "tight" in what aspect? Im 5'6", muscular, 186... Im wondering if the confort around shoulders is the same for both sizes... If so, I could buy the M and save some weight and volume...
Hello! I start to TMB on 1st July. Which would you like to recommend, Nano1 or Nano 2? Please tell me the estimated lower Temperature in TMB in July. Thank you!
Hello, on TMB in July you can get the temperatures between 10C at night and 25 at daytime. It all depends on the year but normally you won't get lower than 10C degrees. We did it in June using our Aegismax Mini or Nano1 and were completely fine. Hope it helps.
@@WalkingNatureWorld Thank you, but It seems your case is probably in the refuge. My case is in the tent. So, I need nighttime outdoor temperature. Is Nemo1 good in the tent at night? I have to buy new one.
We did wash these several times by soaking them in cold water with gentle soap and then rinsing. All by hand and no rubbing. Then genlty squeezing it and let air dry in the shade(it does take some time), better lay them down rather then hanging. We had no problems with this washing system after our trips, avoiding to wash them often. Hope it helps.
I have had very good results washing these bags: you can almost double their loft and warmth after a good wash. 1. Use Nikwax Techwash detergent and optionally use Nikwax Down Proof (add like a fabric softener during rinse cycle) 2 I use a large washer at the laundromat using "delicate" wash cycle settings and cold water temp 3.tumble dry on low heat or Air Dry setting. Add three new tennis balls into the tumble dryer to help break up clumps of wet down. Remove while slightly damp and lay out in a dry room to complete drying...if still damp the next day, do another round in the tumble dryer and lay them out again until fully dry. Hope this helps. I got great results and am quite pleased.
NOOOO you can't buy down products sourced from live plucked chickens!! This is of course horrible to think about but I don't think there is much difference how the "reputable" vendors source their down. Unless you pay with your soul (ironic depending how you see it). Thanks for the best comparison on these bags. No one has gone this in-depth, great work.
We were not aware at that time how these bags are made and that there is a difference in how the down is sourced. It is awful if it's true. We would much prefer to use synthetic bags over down products if they were on the same weight level as we also have some allergy concerns. Thank you for your nice words too.
Firstly, these bags use GOOSE down, not chickens. Secondly, what proof do you have that the down is harvested in an inhumane fashion? Thirdly, these bags are wonderfully constructed. I suggest washing these bags when new because the loft really improves and they get warmer after a good washing. You can also add a "durable waterproofing" treatment and that helps them keep their loft in damp environments.
@kd5txo As you might have noticed my comment was not suppose to be taken that seriously to begin with so I went with chickens. Someone contacted support and asked the employee how they source their down. They responded with just "live". This might not have been the company response and just a reseller though and a language problem. But still, AEGISMAX are based in China. China is known for counterfeit products and unethical *anything*. The bags they make are the cheapest on the market. So I'll take all those as potentially strong indicators that they use live goose when plucking the feathers. But no you cannot know for sure. If they were sourced ethically this info would be plastered all over the product page, but that might also be a culture thing. They are really nice bags and feel great. I noticed there are always some down escaping the bag (miniscule amount) after spending a night in one. I never had a down bag before so I got nothing to compare with but I assume this is the case with other more expensive down bags as well. And they pack SMALL holy sh*t. Have you used yours with a liner in the winter?
Very useful video. You also show respect to your viewers by answering all the questions in the comments. Many thanks.
It's our pleasure, thnak you so much, we do try to get to everyone!
Great review, I ended up buying the Nano 2 even though I was tempted to buy the smaller mini.
Thank you for the comment, hope you enjoy using it on your trips! They are both made for different seasons and can be used alternatively.

Hi,
Mini-M is 408G, Mini-L is 508G (without Compression bag)
Nano2-M is 624G, Nano2-L is 742G (without Compression bag)
Hi, thanks a lot! We think you already got the reply needed.
Mini парням на какую температуру комфорта из вашего опыта? Спали в термобелье или без?
Aegismax Mini до плюс 5 градусов не ниже и при 5 градусах мы спим во флисовых вещах и даже шапках. Это зависит от личного ощущения температуры также.

Why Nano 2? Compare Mini vs. Nano, they are in same cathegory.
Maybe they came out with the new models, we are not aware of it. Nano 2 was a warmer version for us of Mini, that's why we bought it
