sorry to be so off topic but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my account password. I love any help you can offer me
Another great video. I've spent several weeks in CDO myself, and I had the same impression that you had. I also traveled east, into the mountains, and found that to be pretty nice, with lots of nature and things to do, and it's about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the lowlands. There's a resort near Manolo Fortich that is very popular, but I didn't get the chance to see it. Looking forward to seeing your next experience
Where you were at in CDO is very clean. The fruits at the market was really organized. A buddy I work with, in the U.S., his wife is fm CDO. I haven't been to northern Mindanao, maybe 1 day. Buco pie does sound good. Great work, can't wait to see your next adventure!
I traveled to CDO from the USA in 2011. Stayed at the Kingston lodge for a week with my Phillipino "Girlfriend". Had a good time. Only negative was all the shake-downs. Being Caucasian, it's assumed I'm rich and the prices for anything quadruple on me. Constant money hassles. I had to dodge scams constantly...
We have a new governance under the Duterte administration which upped the livelihood of the people, and comes with it, are more friendliness and respect towards others.
CDO is the Adventure capital of the Philippines. Davao is the Ecotourism capital of the Philippines. CDO is near Dahilayan adventure park in Bukidnon, which makes it even more adventure-filled. Davao is more on nature and chill side. Not much on the action.
That obstacle course at the top of the mtn south of CDO is called Larry's Hill Adventure Park...next doir to Hugo Skye Lounge/infinity pool...was there in June 2008.
that was a great review on Cagayan De Oro very help full will look for more reviews on your top 5 list this one made me want to move there so good job by you keep up the great work

Thanks for another great video Gio. More like a petting zoo. I actually have a sewing machine like that one. The cool animal statues are better than the live animals.
I don't really pay attention to the travel advisory maps. You have to do research to find why they are reporting areas as do not travel advisory. I was in Iligan city, which is in the red zone, do not travel advisory. I had absolutely no problem walking around in many places in the city. The advisory was because of Zamboanga city, and Marawi city, which is to the south. Most of Mindanao is perfectly fine.
Good information,., what about nightclubs, bars and karaoke places? In the future, please cover those when you do videos in different town and cities. Thanks.
@@GlahmArni ,.,., Yeah, but he did some videos of Ageles City walking street and surrounding areas. So i'm sure videos of other cities would not be as infamous.,.,., Some travelers doesn't have time for romance.
@@GiointhePhilippines ,.,., Yes do some Sport bars, some travelers like to watch sports and eat and have some beers and maybe ring some bells.,., and overall contribute to the local establishment.
Nightlife in CDO is the best in Mindanao and second best in Visayas next to Cebu. Bars, ktv's, and nightclubs are sprouting everywhere. No limitations, no liquor bans, and no curfews (except in some scenarios like the pandemic, etc.).
I love your report but if living in CDO for myself personally a lot of those activities you emphasized are once in a while activities and I love the white water rafting. I stayed long term in Cebu and I found that Cebu had a lot to offer for long term living but I'm very open to a less stress city like CDO. As a single man would CDO serve me well?? Variety and options for dinner and bar entertainment it's a tuff call to make if CDO would be a place I'd prefer over Cebu. Cebu impressed me with salsa and bachata dancing two nights a week at Crossroads Plaza. I can't help but to wonder would one encounter what one encounters in Dumaguete while living in CDO where everyone knows everyone and everyone kind of knows who you are dating etc. Great video and thank you.
Malayabay I think. Yea, supposed to be a nice city, I stopped in their briefly on a bus trip, looks nice and friendly. I hear some great hiking and beautiful waterfalls.
Hey Gio! I'm moving to Cagayan de Oro City to retire in a few years after I retire in the U.S. Right now I'm looking for a good bank for my Filipina girlfriend to open an account for saving money and to be able to use a debit card issued by the bank. She will be traveling extensively between CGO City and Kibawe in Bukidnon province. Any suggestions for a good bank?

I am a US citizen born and raised in NYC but when i hear the Infrastructure is best in the USA, that is complete BULLSHIT. Bangkok infrastructure makes NYC look like El Salvador in comparison. Everything is is new, fasr and completely connected in asia, especially Thailand and the Philippines
Huh???I live in the Philippines and love it here, but better infrastructure than the US? Are you high...Have you ever driven on a road here? Seen the poor electric grid here? The slowest internet in Asia. The building quality is mostly poor. If you had mentioned Japan or South Korea then you would have a point. Plus if you are outside any decent sized city dont expect a wifi connection or reliable power. What a dumb comment!
I am married to a filipina and am planning to retire in the Philippines. The people are soooooo much nicer than the USA. I disagree with him about Manila. The people were very friendly to me in Manila and I have been there twice.
That Noah's Arc looks great for our 6 year old. We live in Maguindanao in ur red area, I've never had a problem there in 4 years, My wife went to CDO in 2004, she didn't like it, too many Mari-now sect Muslims, too conservative, for her "free-will" clan.
You should show this to the local tourist board and get some sort of award for promoting CDO in such a positive way. For myself I wasn’t there as long as you so you got to know the place, I only had time to explore the downtown area. Imo I felt you sugar coated the place, you didn’t show the reality of the streets and how the local people live.
Wish you have shown the actual downtown and citylife of cdo. As far as I can remember its city layout and corner streets were really disorganized back in the days, this may have changed now. And its too close to Marawi, I’d be cautious bringing my friends in that area.
I’ve been there three times really enjoyed it there and I felt save there with my Filipino wife and of course got warned of the pick pockets too but many areas have the same problems !n as well as what this blogger warned also about areas outside the city are unsafe especially towards Marawi where there was a Seven month battle with Muslims following ISIS several years ago which my Filipino warned me too about Muslims there ! Also by the way try the bakery’s excellent products cakes fresh bread amazing flavour !
