Any chance we can get Chord Mode to record into the builtin sequencer at some point?

@@NovationHelp appreciate the response, I love my Novation gear, LK37MK3 is such an amazing controller, my LPPMK3 is great too, just would love to see some internal integration with the powerful chord mode with the powerful sequencer.

Is there a way to offset notes? Move them before or after the beat? I just got this as my first Launchpad. I love it.

Yes, absolutely. You can use the sequencer 'Micro Steps' to push notes off the grid. They're also great for creating strumming effects or quickly re-triggering a single note. You can find more information on Page 46. of the User Guide, available from the Downloads section on our website.

Is there any mode where the notes on the 64 pads would be laid out similar to a bass guitar fretboard?

The default Note Mode layout is similar to that of a guitar, with an octave being two pads up and two pads across. This allows for guitar chord shapes to be used. Additionally, the sixth column of pads will play the same notes as the first column on the row above, further mimicking a guitar layout. If that's not quite what you had in mind, you could also use one of the available Custom Modes to create your own custom note layout, placing notes of your choice on the pads using the Midi Note widget in Components.

When in chord mode and playing melody notes, is it possible to move the chord bank to the left side of the grid ? ( or is it possible to do it through custom mode )? Reason being I would be more interested in playing the chords with left hand and notes/melodies with right.

No. The pad layout of Chord Mode is currently fixed but we appreciate your feedback on this. You can certainly create Custom Modes that combine scales and notes of your choosing but they will be arranged vertically.

Thanks for your feedback on this! It's great to hear that you're interested in working with Launchpad Pro [Mk3]. You can work with the standalone features, such as the powerful sequencer, Scale Mode and Chord Mode, in any DAW. DAW-specific integration is something that would need to be created and added by the software manufacturer, as was the case with Ableton Live.

Why the hell the third, second note, is an octave higher?

The default chromatic layout shown here in Note Mode, is similar to that of a guitar, with an octave being two pads up and two pads across. This allows for guitar chord shapes to be used. Additionally, the sixth column of pads will play the same notes as the first column on the row above, further mimicking a guitar layout.

@@NovationHelp No I'm talking about chord mode: root, a fifth, and then a octave higher third.
Also what's the point of "inverted chords" if they are static? They don't change dynamically for voice leading.
