Felix my boy is from Australia so no doubt his english pronounciation is on point but as for Korean he couldn't speak it at all he learnt it while a trainee so I'm proud of him ❤️
Yeah they should have clarified that 👁️👄👁️
I picked up the Australian accent immeadiately
Felix has got the warmest voice☀ and he is from Australia so he can fluently speak English. He learnt Korean when he was a trainee and we are so proud of him for always working hard on his Korean back then.🤗
I really love Jennie's accent and the way she talks 💅
i always forget that she sounds exactly like jisoo until I’m looking away from the screen and hear her voice 🤣
Damn true
😂 i remember her as the girl with jisoo's voice
Jisoo's voice but Somi's face.
That's so true omg!
Sameee
I love Jennie’s accent.!
Missed the part where I said the whole cast was indispensable! I also commented on a vid with Heejae where she was giving advice to teens and said I would love to see her host a morning show. She's stunning beyond belief and incredibly-charismatic. I'll fund that as well! lol
And don't you DARE imply Mr. Encyclopedia isn't a favorite of mine. He's a kindred spirit. Loves to learn, and more importantly, showcase his vast amount of knowledge. I do the same.
-Becca
Really do adore this entire bunch. Though, I adore you a little less after posting my comment which I fear will cause problems for me. Arrgh. lol
if we are talking about English we need Rose in my opinion she is the most articulate English speaking idol plus her accent
Girl please she can barely answer a question right
@@sad-bleepinyourarea8588 you mean barely?
@@sad-bleepinyourarea8588 what...?she always answer her question correctly! Wht are u talking about?
@@sad-bleepinyourarea8588 wait what??? Do u even have ear?
@@sad-bleepinyourarea8588 you have hearing problem girl
Where's KIM NAMJOON??? He learnt English by watching "Friends" but has a outstanding accent which is mind blowing :D
jennie is savage queen
Kpop idols who I think are quite fluent in English are:
1) Chungha
2) Johnny (nct)
3) Mark (nct)
4) Ten (nct)
5) RM (bts)
6) Eric Nam
7) Jessi
This is my personal opinion as an American citizen. I'm living here since I was 2.
Yangyang too and. I think Xiaojun is pretty fluent, Wendy from RV she also is a fluent speaker
@@Dino_and_his_useless-hyungs Yeah, There are also some other idols from different groups.
I always love Jennie's voice, korean and English and even on other language.. and i find it really amazing that her voice sounds so different when speaking English and Korean haha.. I mean when she speaks korean, she sounds kinda sweet and cute while in English, she sounds more cool and sext, love the versatility ❤
Jennie becomes more sexy when she's speaking english😍
Heejae is so sweet when she said she tries her best speaking English to her fans on the street.
I was looking forward to see RM of BTS in this video because he learnt english by himself. And his pronunciation is pretty good, almost like a native speaker. I love his accent💜
Me too🥰💜💜 namjoon.
Jennie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I saw jennie 💓I clicked 😊
we really got to watch felix learn korean and u can tell over the years he's able to speak faster and uses less time to process korean and also to think of how to express himself when speaking korean.
Felix and chan from stray kids both are from Australia. That’s why felix speaks so well in english. I think he actually had to learn korean as a trainee.
an idol that i rlly look up to in terms of their ability in mastering languages is namjoon (rm from bts). to think his spoken english is quite fluent for someone whose education was fully based in korea is insane to me. lots of these idols did get proper exposure to the language by being surrounded by people who speak the language, pretty much forcing them to master english bc they need it to communicate w the people there. i can only imagine how nervewracking it must be for namjoon to represent his entire team in english interviews, being the only member in the team to be at that level of fluency
So true, he's really admirable for it. It's amazing how he's able to express his thoughts so well in a foreign language, especially on the spot. It's hard enough to do it in a native language, but he's able to do it in another language.
Jennie have "kiwi accent" more like "British accent" thats why it feels not really clear (if you usually heard American accent) and chung ha with asian American accent
Jennie is more fluent in English than the other girl. Jennie grammars are far more advanced. Jennie is very calculated when she speaks.
I fell in love with NCT because of how international they were. There are members who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, English, German, and Thai 🥰
Right? NCT has so many nationalities and languages which was also what got me interested in the group at first (and in turn in Kpop as a whole) and I was expecting at least Mark and Johnny and maybe Ten and Yangyang to be mentioned here in terms of English lol, but then again I was also hoping I.M from Monsta X and Hueningkai and Yeonjun from TXT would be here too OOF 🤣❤
Jennie 💖
Jennie Queen👑💗🌸💄
Lia and Giselle always impress me. Their pronunciation and inflections are so accurate that both sound like completely native speakers from North America. Especially Giselle. Both lived abroad for some time but not their entire lives, and many people aren’t able to pick up the accent that quickly.
I thought Giselle mostly grew up in Japan and attended an international school there?
@@kalmtraveler yeah she went to the same international school as Rima from Niziu
Lia from Itzy?
I had thought she was full-on Canadian, but your comment had me go look and apparently she only lived there for three years.
One of the most mind-blowing English speaking idols (imo) is Somi, because she only lived in Canada until she was six months old and has been in Seoul ever since, but she's practically indiscernible from a native to me, an American who has never lived outside the country.
@@Unagodd I'd imagine a good amount of Somi's natural accent has to do with her father also being born and raised in Canada (also he's worked on English educational resources apparently). Having that sort of linguistically-blended home life must've had a strong impact on her because both languages come to her naturally now.
@@aspiringheroine I figured she learned a good deal from her dad, but that's still pretty insane.
Yooheon from Dreamcatcher’s English pronunciation is about perfect and she’s self taught and a native Korean.
I was looking for a comment mentioning Yoohyeon. Her English is great, her Chinese is getting better everyday, and she has made decent attempts at Spanish (Primavera concert comes to mind). She's a polyglot in the making.
Jennie doesn't have any accent when she's talking in english! So good 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That's cuz she studied abroad
@@narthakiyasendra2917 I know that. But I have a friend that's from Brazil and she lives in the US but she still have the accent. Not everyone is the same.
She has. Kiwi. And it's cute. Thankfully, she also lived in Australia, so we can understand her well.
@@roseblue_ Yes, it's like she was born and live there. But the one who lived in Australia was Rosé.
@@danielehsantana I've heard Jennie saying to Rosé that she also lived in Australia for a while. Clearly, she picked some of the accent on the way. But that could be because of Rosé. However, when she talks to Rosé, she speaks more to the Aussie side. The Kiwi accent is still strong though.
Ok now Where is Rosé? She is one of the best speakers I have heard and her accent is a cherry on top.
For me, I think idols like RM of BTS who grew up solely in South Korea and had most of their education in SK without a lot of exposure to English at an early age impress me the most when it comes to speaking English. (I'm kinda surprised that he's not on your list - maybe because he's already globally known for being able to speak English?).
Jennie from Blackpink as well, as I've seen clips of her speaking English in the most Kiwi way possible, but she's a hard one as she did have about 5 years of education, (I think it was 5 years, Blinks please correct me if I'm wrong), in New Zealand. So theoretically.....anyway, I love her Kiwi Snark.
Also, Jennie is completely clear to me when she speaks English, but as a New Zealander myself, it's not hard for me to know what she's saying.
For this video, I dunno if I'd count idols like Felix who grew up in an English speaking country and spoke English for the majority of their lives.
Had you gone the other way where you see foreign idols speaking Korean after having to learn it, like Felix of Stray Kids and Lisa from BlackPink, now that'd be cool. Those two, for example, had to learn Korean from scratch since their trainee days.
Aussies really be representing Kpop these days
You should put Rose here, her accent is eargasm
Many idols who are fluent in English are either originated from English speaking countries or are global superstar.
I missed this duo soo much, love you guys
I like the others alot; l But Heejae and Hoseung are the OGs. it just wouldn't be the same if we couldn't see them here anymore. Heejae is fierce and I could just put Hoseung in my pocket
Yeah, that's so true! I speak Spanish (native), French (since I was 3 years old), English and learning Korean and in every language I sound completely different and I think it's because of intonations, way of giving emphasis on some words for expressing different things, etc.
Your videos are always awesome and i love hee jae and hoseung so much ❤️❤️
I love hoseung xD 💕 always cute and fun 😊
Rosé is the best
Next episode: "AW cast teaches Korean to international viewers"
jennie♥
wow i’m so early.
i’m excited to watch this :)
I hope one day VERIVERY's Hoyoung will be featured, he lived in New Zealand for ten years since he was eight and has the thickest kiwi accent
Verrer ❤
If people talk about kpop idol speaking english, my head quickly goes to Tiffany and Jessica, one of reality show even ask them to converse in english before just because they so amaze by it lmao
Growing up in an English speaking country would give them the advantage. I think credit has to be given to Idols who learnt English on their own without having the benefit of living abroad
The OGs are back 💃🏾 🕺
My favorites are NewJeans and TXT, they really speak like natives + Danielle Marsh and Felix's Australian voice is so cool and adorable
Rose and Jennie from BlackPink better.
@@jacklau8316 That's YOUR opinion, make your own comment somewhere else. No one is "better", they're just speaking differently.
@@MoaArmy61304 BlackPink is the best. Who care.
@@MoaArmy61304 their convert sold out in 1 second
@@MoaArmy61304 I hate HYPE BTS Newjeans OK
I just watched Heejae's tiktok live a while ago and now there's a new content in this channel, cool.
That picture on3:09 is so cute.
I really can see this in my mind... Little Heejae going to magpie pre-shool..🤗🤗🤗
heejae is so beautiful😵💫
Hoseung & Heejae you are my favourite. I like when it is just you two. Don't worry Hoseung you have a big fan club & we love you 😍😍
To Heejae: Why are you so beautiful?
To Hoseung: I watched Woo Young Woo too! Love that Kdrama
full-korean idols who never went outside sk that are fluent in english are the most impressive to me.
And there is me who learnt english watching them.
Saw thumbnail and RM came to my mind instantly
ChungHa can even sing in Spanish maybe she can even speak a little bit of Spanish.
If i clearly remember she has Spanish subject before way back in Texas
Alternative tittle -koreans react to FEMALE kpop idols English ft.Felix 😂😂🤌
Ohh!!! I rly like that they read the comments in the video and also hoseung we love you... Yeongwoni Saranghae 💜💜
나도 청하 좋아해 ❤❤
:) for me personally, the best english is spoken by Namjoon from BTS. The hottest English is when he speaks.
I was adopted from South Korea and raised in Hawai'i since then. My friend in high school told me that Korean girls are bossy. But Heejae is soooo gorgeous.
Hi guys, YES YOU ALL HAVE INTERNATIONAL FANS. UK
They should of showed Namjoon from BTS he was born and raised in Korea but speaks English so good that people think he was born in America he has no accent and he learned to speak English by watching the t.v show Friends
Damn… Hee Jae can get it 😍
I like how the people in the comments keep saying "learnt". Very funny. I honestly didn't know Hoseung spoke English. Although I did remember him saying he had a relative in the US. Beast has all the fans. Also surprising that Heejae speaks English enough to have a conversation after watching that video with the hardest English words.
Heejae can be an idol and I will immediately call her my bias ❤
RM learned English watching the TV show FRIENDS
Extraordinary Attorney Woo..I just finished watching it🤗😍
AAHH, No Rose' with her Aussie English!!
PDnim totally left out I.M. from Monsta X who basically was their interpreter when they first began touring and doing interviews 2015 until about 2017. He really helped build the 4th gen profile of their group which helped them have such a loyal fanbase. Also very nice of PDnim to include current female groups, because to be honest, I am more 2nd gen girl group, and was waiting for Tiffany or Jessica of SNSD to pop up. 🤣🤣
Yes i was say the same for IM .....
Agreed. I was kind of expecting I.M to be there or Mark, Johnny, Ten and maybe Yangyang from NCT or anyone from TXT, especially Hueningkai and Yeonjun tbh and was surprised (and a bit sad lol) none of them were featured here lol
I've watched both of those Kdramas all the way through. Right now I'm in the middle of Hwarang (I've been avoiding watching Taehyung die), K2, Itaewon Class, Happiness and several others. My watch list is really long. Of the ones I've already finished Healer and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim have probably been my favorites, but I've really enjoyed most of them.
Honestly I thought Namjoon (RM of BTS) would be in the list because he's so so good and he taught himself English by watching series and i think that's great.
Also his accent is spot on.
Great video😍, although I was looking forward to seeing RM of BTS in this video because he's a great English speaker with a nice accent too💝... Anyway i enjoyed the video all the same☺
Very interesting 🤓🤓thanks Heejae and Hoseung 🥰🥰🥰... i’m trying to learn the Korean language but with my French accent it’s not easy 😅😅😅😂😂😂
I wish they reacted to keeho speaking English cuz he is just a mood
was waiting for namjoon cause he didn’t lived abroad and just learned the language by himself
If you listened to Jaehyun from NCT speaking English without knowing he was from Korea you would not even think he was from Korea.
That's because he also studied and lived in the US for four years.
@@AlfonsoEspina 4 years.. Anyways yea
@@Dino_and_his_useless-hyungs 4 to 5 years. 😁
@@AriesRedd nah do you remember *The Foreign Swagers* in that Jaehyun said 4 years
Hoseung, I'm a fan of your's.
2:32 We love you!
wow! her voice.. i mean, she sounds exactly like kim jisoo
I know right, she sounds like jisoo. If I close my eyes, I will think of her right now
Language is not a barrier in the love we have for each other ♥️
I loved extraordinary attorney woo, can't wait for season 2. I have so many that u have watched but one of my favorites was a Korean Odyssey. Wished they did another season 😪
Hoseung you are my favoriteeeeee
minji actually homestayed in canada for like a short time that’s why her english is kinda good.
Love this duo!!
omg they are so cute!
I am really upset? disappointed? sad? idk! but RM has had to be mentioned, like his speech in UN, god damn ! and he learnt all that english thanks to friends, comeon how could you miss that out 😭😭 apart from that, new jeans really be catching my attention a lot these days ~
Can i say i was watching some early videos, over time Heejae has matured over time,. I know Hoseung likes football my team is Bristol Rovers we always languish in the 3rd or 4th tier of the English football league, There is a saying "i don't know nothing about football i'm a Bristol Rover supporter" anyway good luck to Korea in the world cup.
I was waiting the whole video for Rosé speaking with her aussie accent 😭😭😭🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
feeeelix our sunshine❤
If i knew they were reading comments i would have commented
And first to like 💜
Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that English is easier to learn than Korean and other languages of Southeast Asia.
English is probably easy to learn because it’s so prevalent, but the grammar is quite difficult and the pronunciation rules often don’t make any sense.
english is definitely one of the easier languages to learn, but conversational english needs lots of exposure to western media to master and speak fluently w the right nuances imo
@@Sogeking995 That's becuz we steal words from other languages and then seem to randomly transliterate the spelling, while trying to keep the pronunciation somehow marginally close to the original (until we don't... lol), despite the random spelling ;-)
Our penchant for smashing 2 words from different languages into portmanteau words doesn't help either.
My dear chungha is from Texas! I’m Texan too!
Minji studied in Canada actually
where is rrroooooooooooosssseeeeeeeee

I have already said it in a comment on a previous video, but the Heejae/Hoseung combination is my favorite pairing for Awesome World videos. This is a little off topic, but, to me, Heejae somehow looks different in this video. I'm not sure exactly what it is. Maybe it's the eye makeup.
