"What the Trail Means to Me"

Harnett County's 4-H'ers, Cooperative Extension, and Harnett County Parks and Recreation collaborated to talk about "what trails mean to me" and why Year of the Trail is a reason to celebrate trails in North Carolina.
The trails in North Carolina are much more than just a place to go and walk. They're filled with stories, memories, and deep meaning for all those who visit them daily.
This video was produced by the local Harnett County NC Cooperative Extension Office 4-H program and Harnett County Parks & Recreation. A large majority of the production including planning, filming, and voiceovers for the video were done by these 4H-ers as part of a 3-day videography course led by the Harnett County Cooperative Extension Office.

North Carolina's Year of the Trail movement for 2023 is led by the Great Trails State Coalition, a group of over 70 organizations working to build more opportunities for hiking, biking, walking, running, paddling, and horseback riding across the state through increased awareness, legislative action, education, and engagement.
Throughout the year, there will be entertaining and educational media and content focusing on communities and individuals right here in North Carolina. Additionally, there will be events across the state and plenty of ways to get out and get involved!
