  • Live at CBGB 1982 is a live album and DVD capturing hardcore punk/reggae group Bad Brains in concert at the historic New York City club CBGB in December 1982. The show features several tracks from the first three Bad Brains albums - Black Dots, Bad Brains, and the soon-to-be-released Rock for Light. The album also contains previously unreleased material, such as the reggae tunes "King of Glory" and "I And I Rasta."
Hardcore pioneers Minor Threat and Adam Horovitz's (Beastie Boys) first band, The Young and the Useless, opened the show.

Great band hardcore punk, reggae and eventlly thrash with a punk edge. One of my favorite bands. I wore a t-shirt to school one day and was surprised some people knew who they were.

The I and I over here at the Christ Light and Love Center still dig on some Bad Brains.. Any band that supports the FALL OF Babylon and the Reign of Heaven on Earth is cool over here!

Couldn't make it up to CBGB's at the time. Was only 14 years old. Saw em later when they got more metal sounds thrown in and H.R. doing his solo thing back in D.C. a few years later. He was still spazing out. Saw many hardcore shows in D.C. but I would have loved being at this one. The intimacy of those Hardcore shows were great. The band and the crowd all together smelling each others sweat all part of something you could never get at a "concert" at a big stadium.

@@raelockletree3858he did have the crippling misfortune of having to be in a band with Jello Biafra or Eric Boucher as he really does...not like to be called 💬💫👽🙈🗣️💭🗯️💨😎 I have seen jello solo a few times but never saw him with the rest of the Kennedys which to be honest I would have loved to have done 👻 unfortunately jello gets my back up as soon as he opens his big fat stupid mouth, like a burst waist pipe whatever shit was in it is now spewing out all over the place without a care or thought for anyone else 😜🍺🎭⛑️🔇💎🎥📽️🎬💡📎📌🔓🔒🔐🔏🔑🛡️🧲⚰️⭕❌⭕🅰️🅱️

Hi! I'm a student filmmaker who stumbled upon some of your archival concert footage. I'm currently directing an independent documentary titled, "Rock is Dead" and was wondering if you would be willing to let me use some of your content. I would obviously credit you and if you are interested I can tell you some more about the vision for my project! let me know if this interests you at all, if not no worries:
) I'm just really passionate about the genre of music and want to revive it in the public eye! thank you, Eva Cohan.
