Seeing Gino do a Frenzied Flame Run would be a banger. There are so few Frenzy Flame spells in the game and they don't affect the enemies in pve which is not the case in the Convergence Mod.
31:37 - For anyone curious about the Longhaft Axe, it's not a typo. "Haft" and "Shaft" are two distinct terms when it comes to tools and weapons. According to WikiDiff (emphasis is mine): "As nouns the difference between haft and shaft is that haft is the _handle_ of a tool or weapon while shaft is the _entire body_ of a long weapon, such as an arrow." So, something like an axe would have a handle, or a haft. Since an axe is not a single long weapon like a spear or arrow, "shaft" would not apply. So basically it's just an axe with a longer handle than axes normally have. Spears and arrows, on the other hand, have a shaft, since there's no specific part of the weapon that is designated as the handle.
They can be interchangeable. A spear shaft is also a haft. A polearm, halberd, axe, whatever, the handle the weapon tip is attached to can be called a haft. The handle of knives or swords can also be called hafts.
I've been watching some other play throughs of this mod and they're not bad but they don't really focus on playing their class. Like start as a necromancer and end up as a frost strength build, which again I don't have a problem with - it's just nice to see a play through that's playing the class since you get to see what makes the class special. Also it leads to more longevity since you're not doing everything all in one go
Int/Arc has been my favorite so far. So much fun with the Frost and Abberant stuff. Renna's staff's Skill is also nuts on damage, it's such a fun build to swap between different spells. I'd recommend starting Abberant as opposed to Frost, because the Frost Witch weapon is kinda trash, but do grab both sets of spells
Snow Witch's Cunning is probably goated for a no-hit runner too, now that I'm thinking about it. Insane buffs, but -35% of your HP. I was getting 2-shotted at 60 Vigor lol, Hoarah Loux could 1shot me if I didn't have Rykard's Rune on
For anyone wondering, Stellar Bombardment got sledgehammer nerfed in the most recent patch. Before that, it could rack up hundreds of thousands of damage EVERY SECOND. Malenia died in 4 seconds, counting the phase transition.
Been watching your videos for a few weeks now and I've actually learned some better ways to fight different enemies from it. Like when you roll to the side of the rotten putrid avatars to avoid the rot, I just did this today and it made the fight so much easier. Love all your ER stuff Gino!
I would absolutely like to suggest the "servant of rot" class since it actually gives you ways to deal crimson rot along with making it proc easier so a DOT build is usable
So nice that so many of the new bosses look like they make sense lore wise, like the one that thakes Golden Godfrey place who is a night cavalry that were created by Morgott, and the fact that this boss is an omen is even better.
I'd absolutely love to see you check out the other paths! Your self restraint from checking out the other paths leaves much opportunity for interesting content!
Yeah tried using summons without the necro/mystic anti debuff and was surprised at the penalty lean more towards the mystic variant as it gives you FP regen also
I like how they made it so the bosses that guard the legendary weapons actually use the weapon 52:21 like ruins great sword from the misbegotten duo never made sense to me but this is gold
Would be cool if there was an environmental finishers mod, cause I’m gonna be honest at 23:40 all I was envisioning is that "I want this man to do this dragon like dirty Kratos did the Hydra!!!!"
The fact Collapsing Nebula can be chain cast makes it insane. Not sure how many cast speed buffs you can stack in this mod but even without any the damage, range, & spread makes it probably the best gravity spell.
I love the int/faith incantations and spells, especially like rancorcall and ancient death rancor. If theres a class that expands on that stuff id love to see it
Maybe the summoner class? I think its called the necromancer which would be kind of interesting, or the stormcaller class. Its all completely new spells, so I think that would also be pretty cool
I have tried this mod recently and it's really good, in all senses! Some mini bosses are modified, main bosses are strengthened, and new weapons and spells! God, i love this mod.
Gravity infusions to change the weight of weapons or even the moveset would be cool. For example gravity on a collosal great sword would change it to a regular great sword moveset without any damage penalties. Greatswords to straight swords, and so on
Skyrim was my favorite game for a long time, when this game came out I had no idea what it was but decided to give a try and oh boy, this game is something else. My favorite game of all time.
I definitely want to see you do a *frenzy* run next. This mod adds sooooo much to that aspect of the game. Perfumer, mystic, or aberrant heretic would also be super cool!
I started my first playthrough of The Convergence as the Starcaller but I ended the game with a Dex/Faith build and I was never really sure where the switch happened. Fun mod.
I bet distortion field would work well with the melee based spells like rock blaster, and the ones like gravity bolt that appear at your target. It seems like it's the ones with projectiles that travel that get screwed up.
Ngl the whole video was amazing. Only thing that bothered me a little was how bright the screen got when he used the Gravity Beam... I watch these vids in the dark... 100% recommend!
idk how i feel about Skarde's lore in terms of how the whole connection between crucible and erdtree were forgotten but i think its so so cool that instead of gideon the all-coping its godfrey's righthand man. so much more fitting. also good to know for when i play this mod eventually that he's parryable like other crucible knights bc that's my main strategy for fighting them, lol. this mod looks so good, ive already watched the lightning video, but since this one is the first playthrough it feels like im actually learning about whats in the mod rather than smiling and nodding without understanding whats going on. im very much a melee player but with how the spells and classes were reworked im very curious to try them out once i eventually figure out how to download the mod :)
i want a mod where some boss like gideon, mohg, godrick , etc. (bosses with magic) can spawn/make extensions of themselves. gideon would duplicate himself with weaker versions of himself. mohg’s blood rain would spawn blood demon things. godrick can use the things he’s grafted as little chip damage guys. stuff like that.
My favorite part about all of this is the fact that Gino just completed the game with the starting armor without any noticeable problems. There's so much armor in the base game that looks alright but is effectively useless by the end of the game. I really liked the armor in DS3, there was a good balance of fashion-souls and actual usefulness out of most options - like the Fallen Knight armor, for example. In vanilla Elden Ring there's just isn't enough options to justify not going with gross-looking bulky and heavy armor, bar a few exceptions. But only a few exceptions leaves a pretty small window of choice.
In the mod classes that scale off a single stat, like Starcaller with pure INT scales linearly up to 99. While a double stat class scales up to 50/50 of their stats for the spells. You could have been leveling more INT and getting a good amount of damage out of it.
Hey Gino love the vids, but i thought id share my thoughts. Personally, the part i look forward to the most is seeing how much damage you will end up doing throughout the vid and i can imagine it is for others too. if it was me, i wouldn't add the clips of the damage at the start to keep people wondering, y'know? but.. its a banger either way so at the end of the day its up to you. Love the vids man keep it up!!
Distortion fields cast speed buff us probably so you can use other buffs faster. Throw down DF to protect yourself while casting multiple other buffs in a row.
Even in the base game Meteor of Astel was one of the most powerful spells in the game. Stronger than the Laser beam but harder to use because it was best against large bosses up close. If you could spawn the spell inisde a large boss all the meteors would hit and absolutely melt even the strongest boss.
at 52:00 the moveset is either Godfrey's or the Leonine Misbegottens, and i think it's Leonines. I may be a bit stupid, but it seems like it could be both.
I wanna see Gino do a Necromancer run in Convergence. Also, Gino, you keep dying because you don't level Vigor, which is the stat that keeps you from dying.
Little known fact: Astel’s meteorite does have tracking in the fact that it will have at least one meteor that will shoot at you no matter where you are.
Don’t forget to add Warhaven to your Steam wishlist here: wehy.pe/y/5/GinoMachino

Warhaven looks epic! Saw it played by IronPineapple, and I can't wait to give it a try!
Seeing Gino do a Frenzied Flame Run would be a banger. There are so few Frenzy Flame spells in the game and they don't affect the enemies in pve which is not the case in the Convergence Mod.
