Thanks for watching, I appreciate it. I have enjoyed this band for many years now and I not only saw them in New York, but I also saw them on my last trip to Japan. The piano player is Miku, I really enjoy watching her perform, she reminds me of an old English Rock and Roller from the 1970;'s.
Yeah, it wasn't a video that I expected to do well, and it didn't 😂 Ten years ago I uploaded a ton of clips on my other channel that is devoted to music, but they all went up in 240p. Just this week I found the clips again and decided to put them all together into one performance and also updated the quality to 720p. In the long run I think that it will be worth it as their fans will always want to see a performance like this.
They are a wonderful band to watch live. I also happened to see them in Yokohama in December 2019. This is the type of music that I like, so when I visit Tokyo I always visit Club Heavy Sick :) Japan has a lot of good bands who play this style of music.
I was so fortunate enough to see these guys in Yokohama in 2019 as well. I really didn't expect many of my fellow TH-camr's to watch this video (and they didn't, lol), and the retention rate (less than 2 minutes a view) is appalling, but I think in the long run it will work out well. Fans of the band are likely to watch a very big percentage of the video, so the retention rate will eventually increase once they find the video.

I'm not expecting my regular viewers to watch it, but in the long run I think that it will give me valuable time. I also have another recording of a Hungarian band that has 21K views in 240p, lol. So I might delete that and upload it here in 720p.
I have spoken to the lead singer a couple of times, he speaks good English, but even I don't hear the lyrics. In Japan there was this bar that refused to serve me, though I'm not sure why, so I had to ask an American guy to get me beer each time. Later that night I found out that he was the husband of the drummer :)
Obviously as it is music I want to be real careful, but I have had clips up on another channel in 240p for ten years now, and none of them were ever flagged, so I should be safe :)
Yes, I remember this place. "Warsaw" was the name of the venue, and if I am not mistaken it is a club of sorts for all Polish people. Not so much a bar but more of a working men's club or a community center. My friends were able to rent it out for the entire day to put on this concert and The Stompin' Riffraffs were one of the bands I really wanted to see. I didn't record many of the other acts aside from the two 1950's singers that appeared. In fact I have one video where one of the 1950's singers is playing one of his big numbers, and Miku the piano player decided to invite herself to play the piano during it. It was a really good performance and I was so happy that I got to film it.
Yes, that is correct, Don. Miku is the girls name :) The are a great band to see live if you like a bit of the old Rock and Roll, I also got to see them in Yokohama in 2019, but I had to leave halfway through because the last train to Tokyo was at some stupid time like midnight or so :)
