Hi, I tried to download and install SQL server 2019 developer version. The .exe file was downloaded and I chose installation type as Basic the download got completed but the installation was stuck for 6 hours.It was stuck at RUN SCENARIO GLOBAL RULES. Can someone please help?
When you open SSMS for the first time., you need to click on the servername drop down and click on browse for more and select the database there. Let me know if you are still not able to find
It cant connect 😭... It says "a network related or instance specific error occured while establishing a commection to sql server , the server was not found or was not accessible . Verify that the instance name is correct and that sql server is configured to allow remote connections." Pls help 😭😭😭
@@MeganadhaReddy Thanks for Reply. I have already checked this and also watched other videos for error 18456 , authentication error. I believe this may be because my laptop is in Domain. I have tried on stand-alone PC and it worked. Thanks Meganadha.

@@MeganadhaReddy Im confused whether i should use express or developer edition.. When i take backup of my current database, the size is about 100MB, Im expecting the Database size to grow upto about 500MB for 1 year.. Should i continue to use express edition or upgrade to other edition?
Hi @@unknwn_usr3077 As per my knowledge, SQL Server express supports upto 10GB of database size. Developer edition should not be used for Production purpose (unless you buy the license) Please go through the terms and limits of all editions here : docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/sql-server/editions-and-components-of-sql-server-version-15?view=sql-server-ver15 Hope it helps.
Hi Vibha Gope, SQL Server 2019 cannot be installed in Windows 7. You need to have Windows 10 or above. If you want to install in Windows 7 and learn SQL Server programming., go for older versions of SQL Server. SQL Server 2016

Why it didn't ask password to connect with sql server when i was downloading? And How can we setup password to authenticate with Sql server.
