    First, thank you for this information.
    I found it very organized, as if you were following a bullet point outline.
    The content was so full and I had only thought of about 50% of this, especially about the sites and all the things they may or may not have available.
    Again, thank you for this.

      Most allow you to keep any funds raised. Kickstarter is the one to watch out for. Fundly and Crowdrise are nice to use.

    Can it still be successful even if you start your "company" right at the same time with your campaign, meaning that your social media is empty until then?

  • @judyrafat

    Is producing a CD - non-profit? Or are you talking about only raising money for people or projects in need?

    What do you offer volunteers/friends/family for helping you?

    • @SteveVickAK
      @SteveVickAK 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most volunteers help without expectation of receiving anything. Though you host a dinner party/celebration. Give them mugs or simple thankyou gifts. But like I said, most don't expect anything in return. A sincere thank you and gesture of appreciation are usually good.

    Which platform would you recommend for my church in South Africa ?The church was broken into almost a year ago and many of the artifacts were badly damaged including wooden doors and stained glass windows. We need to raise funds for the installation of a new perimeter fence around the church. Currently we have engaged a private security company to patrol the premises but this is becoming too expensive.

    what social causes platform would you recommend?

    • @SteveVickAK
      @SteveVickAK 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have only used two platforms. Fundly and GoFundme. For a long campaign with regular emails, updates and social tracking I would use Fundly. You can import a mailing list as well as automate a thank you email for every donation. GoFundMe is easier to use but not as robust.
      Crowdrise is suppose to be good. And they focus primarily on nonprofits. Might be worth a investigating.
      Hope that helps.

      great, thanks for the advice, your video is the best one I could find on youtube about crowdfunding - so thanks very much. I was looking at you caring and it seems they charge the donors - so not free at all. Hard to find all the qualities I want - paypal, keep whatever you raise, no rewards, etc - it's a difficult one - how about a video on each platform and what they are good for?? Thanks again!

      There government aid like food stamp if you need food you can apply for it.
      If you have phone and internet to write down on TH-cam I think you don't reach the level of going homeless.

      @@ugaas3074 well lets start with internet is free in my area, and fones cost like 20 quid, so your point is what, phones are years old, rent costs 95 per week, so think before you comment, 40 million free wifi hotspots in this country. and every british library gives 30 minutes free computer access, so again think before writing comments, plus phones can be borrowed or computers. no idea what country you are in, but no food stamps in uk, their is a scheme for expectect and mothers, but nothing for single guys, and if you bother to read profiles, you will see i am founder two food banks, so before writing comments, have a clue what your talking about.

      @@rduggan2011 Sorry for my comment if you feel it was offensive.
      I'm from US and here we have food stamp it depends on your income the average aid is $200 for every person so if the family members are 6 children for example will be $1200 a month's as food aid also there is cash aid and rent etc.
      I did not notice that you are from another country, but I repeat that I apologize for the rush to comment without understanding.

      @@ugaas3074 right , so that makes it even worse, every library in us has rows and rows of free computers, and their is no food stamps in us, i lived their 10 years, and families i know used local churchs food pantries. and 24 weeks unemployment. did not offend me, only yourself. and i have enough food for 2 years my problem is paying the £95 per week rent, after losing my job by email yesterday and 95 per week rent in uk is cheap.
