- I wanted to really experience Carnival's Mardi Gras so I decided to put down my camera and take in as much as I can. In this cruise vlog you see my last few days on the Carnival's Mardi Gras and me leaving the ship. I ask the questions did I enjoy sailing on the carnival mardi gras AND which cruise did i prefer more royal vs carnival. I've only been on Carnival but had a blast both times. Folks have told me that Royal was more low key party compared to Carnival - just a different vibe. So true though as you travel more you'll get to know what you really prefer 👍
I have been on many Royal Caribbean cruises. The Oasis class ships are great and fun. Definitely not low key. Would suggest the Symphony or the Harmony which is going to be leaving from Port Canaveral once it is back from Europe. So much fun and so much going on. The shows can't be beat. Especially the diving shows!! Absolutely spectacular! Would love to see your videos from these ships!!!
Disney cruise will be ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

Dining in the main dining room is always slower especially if you have a lot of people at the table. I prefer the buffet. I get what I want snd it’s fresh and faster. Love it.

Reminder- you went on Royal’s second tier and Carnival’s top tier. Apples and oranges. Try Harmony or Symphony- will blow Carnival out of the water.

I actually have been on Royals top tier (the Harmony to be exact) and Carnival’s lowest tier (Imagination, Inspiration, Elation, etc.) , and I prefer Carnival by a long shot, even their lowest tier.

@@jamieconway3892 Because I believe Carnival is a better brand. I have been on many cruise lines (mostly family cruises), and I think that Carnival is the best out of all my cruises. Great food, good entertainment, fun activities, better than RCL. In my opinion.

Carnival is about fun. Those cruises are full of loud happy people who looking for lots of activities and action. I have been on three Carnival cruises and loved them all. I have sailed other lines, but never had the array of activities the Carnival offers. And the best entertainment are the passengers. The games and the contests are lots of fun. If you want chamber music go on Holland America. Lol!

I’m really glad you didn’t vlog so much your last few days and just enjoyed it! This was still a great vlog and series and sometimes you just need to live life without a camera or device in hand. Looking forward to the Disney cruise!
I always have fun on Carnival Ships. I loved following your week it was so much fun to come home from work and see a new video. Very cool that Christine Duffy Carnival Cruise Line CEO stopped by to say hello. I love Disney Parks however I love cruising too. You get to see the world and meet people you never knew you would get to know.

Great videos. We’re going on Mardi Gras on 8/21. So excited. Also did Adventure of the Seas July 14. It was really sedate at 30%. Looking forward to a more supercharged experience.

That chicken sandwich looks soo good. Cruise lines are like going to the disney parks. Each has a unique different experiences. I have never been on a royal carribean cruise, im mostly loyal to carnival, hopefully in the future I can go on royal, and princess.

This ship did look absolutely amazing no doubt about it but you really can't compare to an Oasis class ship or Harmony there's so much entertainment that will blow Carnival away!! For example you have a water show with professional divers that has the deepest pool at sea!! The show is fantastic!! Thanks for the great video!!
Carnival was having limited dancing shows due to COVID Protocols. It was announced that they expect to have all shows (like the dancing shows) up by November.
Great job on your Carnival videos. I have enjoyed watching them all. I miss the Carnival. I had such a great time on my Carnival cruise too. Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy your first Disney cruise.

In my experience (and Ive been on 5 cruises between Royal/Carnival/Norwegian) is Carnival is more of a party atmosphere for a generally younger crowd. I been on 2 Carnival ship and had a blast each time!!! I want to go on this ship now!
Note: All 5 of my cruises were full capacity PRE COVID

You should have considered joining Kyle at Atlantis for rope drop. It was quiet for R&R time without tourists. Great private beach, former mansion converted. Architecture was amazing.

You got to go on a royal oasis class. Symphony harmony or oasis are the most up to date and best out there. The oasis class has by far the biggest ships in the world

Carnival cruises are more geared towards a younger audience. That’s why I think you enjoyed it more

You should go on one of Royal's Oasis-class ships. They are bigger than mardi gras and fix everything you didn't like about the adventure of the seas

Hey Jojo, I really appreciate your videos. I'm gonna go ahead and tell you only on critic, I love how you're making friends and its really fun to see you connect with people, but we don't know to know their name each time or their instagram. We're not here for them we're here for you. You could always mentionned them in your descriptions video, or maybe at the end of your video. But as a viewer I think it's putting me off a little.
With that said, good job it's fun to watch you travel.
Jo jo your comparing a 20 year old Royal ship to a brand new Carnival mega ship. Not a valid comparison. You need to get on Symphony of the Seas (Royal's newest Mega ship) and compare that to Mardi Gras. That would be an apples to apples comparison. The entertainment on the newer Oasis class ships is amazing and knowing that's what you like I think you should try it. Symphony's first sailing is this month. Gather up Kyle next month and hit up Symphony.
Royal Caribbean entertainment is better but the nightlife is much better on Carnival. Either way the best cruises I’ve been on were on newer ships vs older ships (unless the itinerary was better). Last day on the cruise is so sad but at least you’re going in Disney cruise next Jo jo,

Harmony is absolutely NOT like the Royal boat you were on- 18 decks, a lot more entertainment…second to biggest bit in the Royal fleet. Also Broadway quality entertainment.
Never been on Carnival only RC. Carnival has rep for being more of a party ship.
