I play Call of Duty for the campaign so I wasn't disappointed with Infinite Warfare at all.
In my honest opinion, Infinite Warfare has the best futuristic campaign in CoD.

Nobody ever seems to talk about this and I think it should be said: Reyes is one of the best main characters in a cod campaign. Mature, funny, relatable, and can get shit done
And E3N is one of the best side characters, you wouldn't expect such humor and compassion out of a robot

Isn't Reyes a pilot to begin with? He just decides to take on missions on foot as well, because they don't have any other people to do it.

This campaign was amazing. Especially the ending, you watch in horror as you lose your closest Allies that have become close enough to be family and end up making the ultimate sacrifice to finish the mission.
For context on why people disliked Infinite Warfare, two futuristic games had already came out previously, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3. Infinite has a pretty good campaign, just came out at the wrong time. Its also in the same universe as OG Modern Warfare.
Wow I didn't know they were the same universe.
So basically its not an exoskeleton its just a like a jetpack or more of a boostpack on your back. And when you pick up guns from the battlefield or feom the armory of the SDF you unlock them for your Loadout so keep an eye out for special weapons etc. Also you will see that you have to choose different weapons for different side or main mission like energy type weapons for robots and ballistic guns for humans. I played it like that I always had one ballistoc and one energy weapon on me at all time
I like the fact that Ethan isn't just any ordinary robot, he may be a robot but he interacts and talks like a human

I love his reactions and I like how he appreciates the games he plays and makes his own impressions. Id recommend doing all of the side quests as soon as possible
Oh, man, it's good to see you playing that game. I know it's the most controversial COD ever due to its setting but I'm a big sci fi fan so it became one of my favourite COD campaigns ever. The setting, the cinematics, the music, the characters, I loved it and I hope you do too!
ppl say that IW is horrible because its almost like star wars, but the campaign is just fucking amazing, and if you revisit the game, one of the two gamemodes that are currently locked, adds a whole new twist to the game

While the multiplayer was meh, Infinite Warfare is one of my favorite CoD campaigns. They took a LOT of inspiration from Titanfall, and it shows, but the story and the way it handled the pre-mission planning and Ethan development was genuinely impressively. Felt like they wanted to do some serious world-building, and I'd be down for a sequel in the universe.
This game sure has a lot of cameos from people who are not usually seen in games such as Kit Harington, Connor McGregor, and Lewis Hamilton.

i just finished the campaign literally i'm watching the credits right now by far the most different more unique and by far has the most lovable characters i have ever seen the robot guy gator and many others this has genuinely been one of my favorite call of duty campaigns yet
Infinite Warfare's reveal trailer had the worst Like/Dislike ratio in the franchise's history. Everyone wanted to hate it. But then we experienced the Campaign and it ended up being an amazing ride. Your face during the escape velocity burn to Orbit was beautiful.
I'm not a big si fi person and I think this is the BEST opening... I never watched or played this one so it's new to me.
Luke's overall reaction matched my prediction 100%. I just knew the exact points at which his jaw would drop in fascinated awe. The freefall insertion, the grand vista of the spaceship parade, the hacker grenades, the plasma weapons....

Space ships flying overhead during battle, Space combat and optional missions that can be played in any order.
Leaving earth’s atmosphere is one of my favorite in game sequences of all time.
Just wish it had the graphical quality that IW had.

Watch with your weapons: especially as the energy weapons (denoted with a lightning bolt in your HUD) work differently to your bullet weapons. Also loads and loads of references to The Expanse and Halo in this one

As much as people shit on this game the single player was absolutely brilliant in my opinion! Brilliant characters, solid story and every mission provided variety along with freedom of the usuap linear on the rails.

Make sure to do the side missions! They’re quite fun, and give you extra bonuses for your aircraft. Make sure to explore as well, as you can find some pretty cool weapons, like a magnetic sniper and a laser pistol.
It is speculated that Infinite Warfare is the same universe as Modern Warfare. For example, the Ret's serial number is SWC-141. This is the same as TF-141 in the Modern Warfare line-up.

I think it's loosely based of the MW universe. If im not wrong, the retribution's designation name is SWC-141, witch is from "task force 141" from the MW games

I play CoD for the campaigns not the multiplayer so this game was amazing for me, and also one of my favourite campaigns.
Do the side missions, find weapons and kill all the wanted sdf officers it makes completing main mission easier without getting killed every 3rd shot.
There is an Easter egg confirming the Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare (the original three) are in the same universe. This easter egg came from a promotional poster that - provides more details about the ship "Retribution" - releases before the game. According to the poster, the "Retribution" is labeled as "SWC-141". "SWC" stands for Space Warship Carrier.

Man I feel like replaying infinite warfare to join you on this journey. Also as Luke said about the sci-fi bit with being a bit biased, I will say in terms of an opening for sci-fi kind of CoD game, this opening was quite good. Also, good thing he isn’t playing Black Ops III yet, I tried that on Realistic difficulty and man is it a pain, I only got passed the first mission, a couple shots can kill you in realistic. The AI for the enemies are also tough as well. So if and when he goes to Black Ops 3 I hope he will try out realistic out to see what that is like before going down to his normal difficulty of veteran. Also he asked about if this is different universe or not, I say different. If Infinite warfare was related to advanced warfare, then they would have exo suits, especially having them incorporated into their normal suits that could be outfitted for EVA or various other tasks. I am going to try and catch his stream and hopefully inform him of this if he doesn’t know yet from comments. Also for Luke if he looks back at the comments of this video, this game does have similarities to Halo for Halo and CoD was taking stuff from each other for their games, CoD Infinite Warfare to Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians. The multiplayer for Halo 4 and 5 is more like CoD while the aesthetics of Infinite Warfare takes its looks from Halo, literally the drop ship design looks like a Halo pelican and the individually piloted ships (Jackals) kind of look like the Halo Reach sabres, though the design I would say is closer between a mix between a sabre and the F-35 that we have that can also be a VTOL, also there is the fact that both the Infinite Warfare Jackal can have one pilot or two being there is a co-pilot like the Halo Reach Sabre. Then again, we do have aircrafts today that can be piloted by one person and some that require two people, I don’t know if there are any that can have two but only really need one at the minimum.
