How long will the battery last on either model? As a weekend warrior, can we turn it on while loading, drive for 3ish hours and have it working we arrive or will we need to get into the trailer to turn it on when we arrive?
It is best to turn it on when you arrive, but if you don't, the battery on the PRO model will be good. The manufacturer says with normal use, you could get up to a year, but this does not mean leaving it on all the time, so you can expect a little less if you leave it on while you drive.

As a solo trailer rver, I purchased this product as soon as I heard about it (version 1). It works well; however, my version eats batteries. It is supposed to turn off when in storage but it apparently does not. I have to replace the battery every time I go anywhere. I heard this was an issue with version 1 and another customer got his replaced for battery life. When I called they said no. I do like it but not the battery part.

I was really excited about this device. I found it to be pretty far off (when verifying with a level), even after multiple iterations of calibration. The calibration just seems to get off. I ended up sending it back. However, lots of people rave about this, so it's possible I had a bad unit.
@@Technorv No. Unfortunately, when I emailed their support, they had an issue with their email system, and I didn't hear back from them for a week. I had already returned it to Amazon. They were apologetic, and I wish they had a chance to help me with it, because I obviously love the concept.
We love our Pro Plus, works great. Easy set up and usage. We power the main unit by USB. Good move by Techno RV, consistent with our quality products.

How long is the USB cable with the levelmatepro+?
It is relatively short (about 2-3 feet) so you would need to install it close to the USB source in order to utilize it.
