Is LA the best franchise for running backs in NFL history? This video covers recent history, but the team has a storied history of great running backs.

One of the SUPREME bummers of my life was when Gurley got hurt and the Rams had to part ways with him. I've been a Rams fan since the 70's, going all the way back to Lawrence McCutcheon, I've always loved the Rams 'feature back'. Eric Dickerson, Greg Bell (led the league in rushing after Dickerson was traded)...then the long dark 90's until the Faulk trade, Steven Jackson, Gurley and now again, we get a special bonus with the ONE/TWO punch of Williams and Corum.

@TheCountofToulouse Gurley is my personal favorite back in the team's history, but Dickerson/Jackson/Faulk all had better careers. Jackson is severely underrated and I don't go back as far as you do historically, but the Rams are defined by the running game. I actually think it's a more defining trait of the franchise than Chicago with linebackers but maybe I am biased.
Completely agree with the current 1/2 punch, looking forward to seeing it this season and Corum will likely get his own video at some point. Thanks for watching!

No, dude, I'm with you on Gurley, I was devastated when he left. To me, Gurley was a hybrid, nimble like Faulk, fast in the open field like Dickerson and his trade mark hurdle was all his own, he had it all.
That bubble screen run against the Titans, ripping them down the middle of the field for a TD was epic. The tear he put on Seattle on that 3rd and 20, they never saw it coming. I loved watching Gurley, his highlight reel is chilling, he was awesome at his peak.

@TheCountofToulouse His highlight reel is always a great watch. He really did have all the components of an all-time running back, it's a DAMN shame his body let him down.
Seems like he's legitimately happy theses days, but it's hard as a fan to not think about what he was on pace to be without the injuries.

He's from Kinston, near where I grew up in NC. You would not believe the amount of great athletes that came out of that region that DON'T make it. At my own high school, Brian Taylor (NY Yankees, later hurt his shoulder) and another RB who won all sorts of state titles but he loved drinking and ruined his career. Torry Holt is also from about 70 miles West of Kinston.

@@TheCountofToulouse you taught me something here. Googled Kinston, NC and this came up immediately.

Interesting that so much talent lies in that area. I knew about the Hampton/Newport News/Virginia Beach area having a lot of talent but didn't know about this area of NC.
