Well kinda same here, i'm 24 now but got to know ultravox and other 80's artists through my dad and gotta say: i love these songs/bands alot more than the music they make today😅
I’ve been listening to Billy play his ARP Odyssey since the albums first released and he sounds just as amazing every time. Thank you Billy Currie and Ultravox.
Ultra Vox set the standards for synthetic music sounds as an orchestral reality. This is the band that Depeche Mode built their act from. Ultra Vox preceded Depeche Mode by 7 years, and remained positive and uplifting on a base of incredible musicianship and vision. Sounds great in 2019.
how amazing is this live Version and Sir Midge Ure what an Superstar...? That's how you do music everyone contributes in this Band...? Best Times in my live shame I did not knew earlier 35 Years ago......
IMO the best 80s band ever. An even blend of synth and acoustic instruments. Billy Currie’s haunting synthesizer and piano melodies with Midge Ure’s voice and lyrics put them head and shoulders above everyone else.

„Fade to grey“ sein. Mein Herz schlägt für Wave, aber mein Zweitlieblingslied ist „Deutschland“ von Rammstein. 😊
Live. They got up and did it. And it's brilliant. It's not done these days because todays superstars simply cannot perform without technical support, a hidden orchestra and a choir. Oh...and a whopping unjustified paycheck.
Just been to see Midge Ure Gig in Bristol tonight, and he performed this as well, if not better with two other instrumentalists, check out his concerts for 2019 - awesome show!
lol in the instrument break on the subs it says “energetic art pop continues” 😂 Sums it up quite well. Apart from it’s absolutely brilliant of course 🎉

I discovered this super band in 1984 and I still listen to them 40 years later with the same pleasure... Quality has no age !
I am 15 years old and my father showed me ultravox and many more 80 s bands and I think that new music is nothing compared to this
true
legend
Same with me, i'm 15 too and my dad showed me this song and other songs from ultravox
Well kinda same here, i'm 24 now but got to know ultravox and other 80's artists through my dad and gotta say: i love these songs/bands alot more than the music they make today😅
@@acast567 yeah i don't really like nowadays music
One of a whole bunch of underated Ultravox tracks.
It was a big hit.
2024!
Still listening to this masterpiece everyday!
What a voice!🔥🔥🔥
need to find a way to spread
It's a shame when good acts are not given enough praise. Ultravox are great!
Actually they're seem to be divorced.
I got to know ultravox through my dad and honestly they became a huge inspiration to me as an artist
@@acast567 Are they still performing?
@@tygertone midge ure apperently is but the band as a whole i don't think so
His voice is so strong , just as you think it's too high and he'll break, he shows his amazing range 👌👌👌 respect 🙏
This and The Voice were two of their greatest songs IMO. When bands comprised actual musicians and songwriters.
My favorite Ultravox song ................ a hug from Perú 📢🎵🎗️🌷👍.
THE BEST 80S BAND THAT EVER PLAYED ON.EARTH.. MIDGE URE MASTERMIND.. ULTRAVOX FOREVER..
What an amazing live version!!!Cool!!One of the best voices from the 80's in popmusic!!
What a voice!
I ♥️ Ultravox
One of the best songs ever made. Thanks
When these four guys got together something magical always happened
I always thought Vienna was their best track until I revisited this last week! Forgot how special this track is!!
Hymn and The Voice are my favourite of the Midge Ure era. For the John Foxx ones I would say Slow Motion & Dislocation.
seek out Lament next
I’ve been listening to Billy play his ARP Odyssey since the albums first released and he sounds just as amazing every time. Thank you Billy Currie and Ultravox.
These days live music was all about music, not about performance. Pure heroine.
The levels on this are perfect. Absolutely perfect. Astounding, and such a great vibe in the space!
1:00 for a brief moment I thought it's speeded up for some reason, but no, it's Warren Cann, the ultimate energizer battery.
Fabulous live version ... Ultravox rule !!!
Give us this day all that you showed me....
It's 2019...i miss the 80's
Time flies when you're having fun 😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️😊❤️
懐かしい…1番好きな曲ですよ🎵
Going to see him live in 3 months with my mum. Love Midge!😊
I heard this sung last month 15/02/2020 and it's still amazing today, midge's voice has not lost it's sheer power!
Unusual melodies, strange harmonies, and distinguished moustache! :D
And a Glaswegian accent!

I've got this album somewhere. Might have to look for it after watching this. Brilliant!!!

Hmmmmm depeche build their act from???? Don't think so,depeche has their own recognizable sound, unique in the music scene.nothing beats depeche mode.
Ultravox pre midge were the ground breaking band. Kraftwerk, Bowie, Gary numan, and early Ultravox.
@@leonstraatman1857 True, it's always more than one influence, and more than one band being influenced. I mean, listen to "Shout" by Tears for Fears.
@@leonstraatman1857 I’ll agree when it comes to their earlier stuff but not the later stuff.
how good is this picture quality superb

I want Ultravox to play at my wedding! Vintage 2021
Divine performance
Ultravox feat The Messengers -- Danny Mitchell (keyboards and programming) and Colin King (vocals)
Warren Cann. The Human Drum Machine.
Rbo SMF - Dude slept until at least 1:30 p.m., and smoked like a freaking chimney. I guess that gave him energy at night.
He doesn't get called "The mighty Warren Cann" for nothing!!
Legendary live Ultravox!!! 👏👏👏👏
best live Performance
GREAT ULTRAVOX LIVE
I'm an Atheist, but this still The key change at 4:13 gives me goosebumps.
Billy from 4:17 to 4:28 gives me goosebumps...
I agree, there's something beautiful about a perfect key change being used as a hook. Magnificent.
...as a fellow atheist I am inclined to agree!!!
Goosebumps will be PROVIDED
what the fuck does atheist have to do with it.
Great song. It gives me goosebumps.
Hot, Hot, Hot I loved this quy and his music, went to see him, whew!!!! goose bumps head to foot xxxxx
Head to foot, yes!!!!
The song and, those dance moves gave me the goosebumps.
I love Ultravox
3:06 EPIC ANALOG SYNTHESIZERS!!!!
Absolutely incredible.... I wish they would go back to performing it on the original instruments. Damn it rips!!
Great music and great song
The bass is cutting trough mix so beautifly. Great tone on ibanez roadstar p-bass delivered by Chris Cross.
Not to be splitting hairs but it is probably an Ibanez Blazer. I got one and they are like a Fender P-bass on steroids.
It could be a Roadster also. The only difference is the pick-up. Can't see it in the video.
Billy Currie is a musical genius.
Pity about his dancing
OMG ....breathtaking
Superb band playing great songs - thx for the upload!
absolutely perfect live vibe....the greatest
for some reason i dreamt of the band today...and zoomed into the blue blue sea...it was a great feeling to see the band so close😍👍💪
Great memories!

Give us this day
All that you showed me
The power and the glory
'Til my kingdom come
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The power and the glory
'Til my kingdom come
Give me all the
Storybook told me
The faith and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
And they say that in our time
All that's good will fall from grace
Even saints would turn their face
In our time
And they told us that in our days
Different words said in different ways
Have other meaning from he who says
In our time
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The power and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
Give me all the
Storybook told me
The faith and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
And they say that in our time
We would reap from their legacy
We would learn from what they had seen
In our time
And they told us that in our days
We would know what was high on high
We would follow and not defy
In our time
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The faith and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
Faithless in faith
We must behold the things
We see
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The faith and the glory
'Til my kingdom come
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The power and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
Give me all the
Storybook told me
The faith and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
Give us this day
All that you showed me
The power and the glory
'Til my kingdom comes
