The Trader Joe's handcream is AMAZING. I often wash my hands at work, so they're always dry and crackling. I swear by it and I feel it's a way more affordable dupe of L'Occitane's Shea hand cream!
I use the TJs 100% jojoba oil and I LOVE IT. I use it as a makeup remover and a shave oil. And it’s like $7 for a bottle which I think is really good for jojoba.
I also had the same expectations for the hand cream, however, I started using it right after I’d wash my hands and instead of fully drying them, I’d leave my hands a little damp then apply a pea sized amount and rub! The dampness not only helped with a smoother application, but also helped it absorb better! Still a liiiiitle greasy, but definitely better than applying directly onto dry skin.
FINALLY THE VID IVE BEEN WAITING FOR FOR LITERAL YEARS I’ve been using the gel moisturizer from Trader Joe’s for a year or so now and I LOVE IT it made me actually like moisturizing my oily skin Edit: watched your review on the moisturizer and it definitely is SUPER lightweight but I use a big ole dollop of it and sometimes I’ll use a heavier one if I’m feeling a bit dry (which isn’t very often lol)
I’m convinced to try it. I’ve been hooked on Clinique Moisture Surge. It’s the only gel moisturizer that has worked for my overly sensitive oily skin so far, but the PRICE 😬😬 Hopefully the Trader Joe’s one works for me Edit: omg after looking into Trader Joe’s “story” for this gel moisturizer it sounds like it is meant to be a Clinique dupe!
@@rosalina2773 sounds like me. clinique moisture surge is the only moisturizer my sensitive skin will tolerate also. the gel TJ one irritated my skin immediately. so I'm sticking with clinique
I love the chemical sunscreen! It’s super highly rated by consumer reports for being tested at full spectrum spf 30. It also forms such a nice protective layer. Super hydrating as well! If you’re an oily babe and don’t like oil not for you it’s thick but my dry skin loved it!
Omg thank you for this! I was in TJ’s yesterday and almost bought some skin care items. I’ve been using the shampoo bar for a year and it’s wonderful. Nice scent, low waste packaging, 5 bucks = 👍👍👍
They used to have a zinc oxide face sunscreen that was AMAZING but they discontinued it 🥴 it was like 8 oz for $10.99 so they broke my heart when I found out it was no longer available
I have oily skin and have that moisturizer you liked - it’s risen to the top for me bc it’s hydrating and light, not fragranced and super neutral. Plus I love the packaging - it just works and squirts our the correct amount in a very easy, consistent way. Seriously love that stuff. I also have their bar soap and like those as a way to keep from buying my $14 loccitane bar soap, which is life changingly balanced.
happy to see you review these products. I recently tried the aloe gel moisturizer. I didn't have high hopes because my skin is SUPER sensitive. I think it was all the herbal extracts in it, but yes I got a stinging sensation and irritation from it on my face. I had to wash it off. it also didn't feel very moisturizing
Hi Hyram, totally agree. I have very dry sensitive skin. This did nothing but sit on my skin and not absorb at all. I use the gel moisturizer on my hands. It seems to work better on my hands than my face.
I have dry/normal skin and love it all. I can see if I had any oily skin anywhere, I don’t know if these products would work for me. Thank you for reviewing them!!
i live my skin care dreams through you 💕My skin literally breaks out in tiny blisters if i use anything. It’s really frustrating. My dermatologist said it’s a form of eczema but the cream she prescribed for it is $4k and insurance won’t cover it so i just skip using skin care all together. 😂
Hey, hyram! I’m a licensed esthetician in OKC and I use Face Reality for my acneic clients & Eminence Organics for deeply Hydrating, nourishing, firming products. I was wondering what your thoughts are on those two brands! Also! The eminence Mangosteen gel moisturizer with a lactic complex is AMAZING
When I was first getting into skincare 5-6 years ago it was an actual trend to have all Trader Joe’s skin care routines. It was like the underground “best stuff”. You could look up videos and people would rave about Trader Joe’s. My first routine was 100% traders joes lol.
Been binging your stuff for... like several months lol and I'm so excited to see this video, since TJs has been my first intro to skincare (my mom got me the antioxidant moisturizer when I was a teenager and it's still my favorite today). I've been using the cleanser for years but apparently they changed the ingredients a couple years ago, boo. I've learned so much from your videos so I'm excited to try a new one once I use it up. Thanks so much for informing and entertaining us and I hope you're doing well. ♥
I have a question sir. Can I apply the moisturizer and not wash my face before applying the sunscreen? Or should I wait how long before washing my face and applying sunscreen?
I love the enrich lotion moisturizer. It has spf and vitamin c in one product. And it's non comedogenic and fragrance free! I've been using it for years! And it's only around $4! I use that after the gel moisturizer to lock it in.
That heavy moisturizer is excellent for hands and feet overnight 🤘 I don’t wear it in the day because it’s so heavy, but particularly in winter this is a savior of an overnight product!!!
You may like the gel moisturizer better in Hawaii. I used to love it in a different climate but in Arizona, where it’s more dry, I don’t love it anymore.
Thank you so much, I was thinking of trying the products on my skin but I was skeptical. You answered my prayers and gave us this video. Thank you. ~❤️~ Love you Hyram 💕
I use the Trader Joe’s Microdermabrasion Scrub from their Nourish line a couple of times a week and I would absolutely recommend it for mechanical exfoliation. I love it.
I found your channel while I was on a journey to weed out all the bulls#%t in skincare, I wanted to know what products are legit and which ones are not and you have been a huge help! I use trader Joe's shampoo and their body butter, I have been curious about their other skincare options!
I totally agree - most of their skincare is too drying for me. Two items I do enjoy are the other basic moisturizer they have (spf 15) and also their sheet masks.
Wow! I used to use all TJ skin care products. One of which, is the TJ Nourish face moisturizer ( it was $4.99 not $12 wow)...I found that I needed to reapply frequently otherwise I will feel dry (now I love using CeraVe Moisturizing Cream). TJ products were okay until I tried better and more reasonably priced drugstore products. The prices have doubled at TJ!
The trick with the gel moisturizer is to apply it to wet skin and treat it as more of a serum, then apply an oil or another moisturizer over it. It has a lot of good stuff in it, but it doesn’t seal itself in.
I do! It’s not exactly the same, but it’s VERY close. I actually prefer it because of the price difference, I don’t have to be so precious with it. The big bummer is that it’s seasonal. 🙄 but the pumpkin enzyme overnight mask is also good, if you can get over smelling like a pie for a few minutes.
Loved hearing your thoughts on these cause I’ve always been curious. I’m so bummed that the .3% retinol night serum hadn’t dropped before you filmed this. I clicked this so fast hoping you’d be evaluating the retinol and the sunscreens, but at least at mine, it’s only been around for a few weeks. I totally get not being into fragrance…but re: hand creams, the seasonal ones are the more impressive formula at TJs imho, way less greasy and better hydrating. (Strawberry lemonade forever!) The marula oil and the watermelon glycolic mask are the two items I always repurchase from Trader Joe’s ❤
I swear after watching Hyram for over a year, since I accidentally found him,I've started looking up the ingredients on products!🤣 In lotions, face products. Even down to the shaving cream! Omg! What I have discovered. I was using a lotion, and I kept breaking out,and I was like, let me look up the ingredients, and there was one ingredient,Isopropal Palmitate! A very strong acne causing ingredient! I was like well there it is! So now when my husband and I are out,he'll be like, are you looking up the ingredients?🤣 I swear, ever since I've started looking up the ingredients of things,I've changed out my body bars,my shaving creams, the way I wash my face. My skin is sooooo much better! Hyram isn't a dermatologist, but DAM he should go and be one!
i love that TJ's gel moisturizer, but i do use a MASSIVE dollop of it- but i also use CosRX's snail mucin and a hyaluronic acid sunscreen along with it. i'm doing so much moisturizing with my other products that the gel moisturizer does just the right amount.
I love there skin care I’m 12 and bean starting skin care and that I have had really really bad acne it helped so much that I don’t have any acne anymore
Hey from Moscow ✌️ By the way I recommend watch on TH-cam both American journalists John Mark Dougan and Patrick Lancaster - they show true, definitely
I have been having a skin condition for years now and I want to know what it is it’s like a rash on my nose and nostrils not inside them just the outside and it constantly creates dry skin the funny thing is that I live in a super cold damp climate and I went on vacation to a warm country it completely dried up! After I came back thoung my nose started to run and the wetness started it all back up again it has been annoying me for years since I look like a clown and concealer won’t cut it I’ve tried everything! I’m starting to lose hope.
What is your take on 100% organic cold pressed hemp seed oil in body care? I bought some to cook with, hated the taste and now want to know if it is good for hair or body (not face).
One of the very first few comments! You look SO adorable in this video!!! Love your shirt! You look so bright and happy. 🥰 Love your videos 🥰 Also since you have such a huge international audience, have you ever thought of reviewing/checking out famous skin care products from different countries? :)
I was wondering if you could ever make a video on skin care for people with sensitive skin? I am currently using eucerines sensitive skin cream and cleanser but my skin being special decided to start reacting to it. I’m running out of options on what I can use that won’t cause me to turn red and itch 🥺
I applied Eucerin Anit-pigment on my 17 years old daughter's forehead and now a patch had appeared within a week of applying.I am so upset and worried. She has an excellent skin all throughout and now this patch on the forehead due to applying Eucerin is visible. I watched your video on restoring skin moisturising barrier. She is now using CeraVe moisturizer twice a day. My big question is "Will her patch go away with application of moisturiser and how much time will it take?" Look forward to your reply.
hello, Mr. hyram first of all I love your informative videos cuz u r the one who made me get into skincare so a big THANKS to u sir, and the second thing I just wanted to request you to please give your reviews on the best Indian skincare products if u can as the products from the USA are not really cheap in India.
Round Lab Nourishing Soybean Toner is amazing! Honestly I don't really use toners, but this one is a chef's kiss! Hydrating, but lightweight. It has ceramides in it as well. Could you review Peach Slices as well? They have a snail mucin line and acne line as well. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I absolutely love your videos! Thank you so much for guiding us!
When I first started getting acne and pimples my mom bought me the Trader Joe’s cleanser and it just made my skin worse! It’s just now being repaired, so I personally didn’t have a good experience
I hate moisturizer on my hands during the day so I tend not to use them. I like having clean hands. So I always moisturize then when I go to bed and I use the gold bond 24 hour over night cream
hi hyram can u please make a video about closed comedones im really struggling huhu and can u suggest a good product that cheap here in the philippines for closed comedones and what should i do? 😭😭😭
I like to buy plain Greek yogurt from Trader Joe's and do the occasional face mask with it lol but also add it to my smoothies. Nourishing inside and out! That is the only kind of "skincare" product I've bought from Traders Joe's
Literally me two days ago: *staring blankly at TJ's skincare* "hmmm I wonder if Hyram has ever reviewed any of these" !!! 💘
Great timing 🤣❤
No cause same!
Manifested it gurl 💕
Here bc I had the same thought today!!! 😂
The Trader Joe's handcream is AMAZING. I often wash my hands at work, so they're always dry and crackling. I swear by it and I feel it's a way more affordable dupe of L'Occitane's Shea hand cream!
the loccitane shea butter hand cream is amazing for my dry and cracked hands. So good to know that this is a dupe!
wait yeah i don’t think it’s greasy at allllll what?!!
Trader Joe’s products are lowkey the best! Been using them during the pandemic and have seen a big difference in my skin :)
I agree! Love TJ products
Love how no matter how long I've been away, I come back and Hyram's intro welcomes me w joy 💕
You are so sweet, ily 🥺🙏
I use the TJs 100% jojoba oil and I LOVE IT. I use it as a makeup remover and a shave oil. And it’s like $7 for a bottle which I think is really good for jojoba.
The amount of dopamine that instantly floods my brain at the “every single week” and that sweet, excited smile is unreal… 💛
“I trust Hyram with my skin”
-“Why dont you trust him with your life?”
“Same thing”

Of course!! So sorry it took so long to make 🤣
That TJ hydrating gel is amazing. Already gone through 3 bottles. Looking forward to trying some others on this list.

It dries my face out so badly :(

There’s no Trader Joe’s in Hawaii but there is so much Hawaii in Trader Joe’s
Ooh I was hoping for a review of the retinol serum I’ve been seeing at Trader Joe’s.
You may like the gel moisturizer better in Hawaii. I used to love it in a different climate but in Arizona, where it’s more dry, I don’t love it anymore.
Hey Hyram!! I’m a huge fan and so is my sister Riley! We love you, keep doing what you love!! ❤️

Can you review Naturally G4U skincare and Winky Lux skincare?!??
the gap before “every single week” is getting longer and longer each video, love it
Omg yes! I always wonder about trader Joe's beauty products and curious how they work. So excited for this video

I heard that the trader Joe watermelon overnight mask was a dupe for the glow recipe one. Would you agree?
I was hoping someone had info on this too....

The gel moisturizer I just started using since my mom started using another moisturizer and I absolutely love it. I love gel moisturizers so much now!
You should have tried their midsummer night’s hand and body cream. Not too greasy, nice smooth texture.
YESSS! I'm here for this one! Thank you!
Hey from Moscow ✌️
