Totally agree. My uncle seen them in concert back in the 70s, and said it was one of the best performances he has ever seen hands down. Rest in peace Maurice White!!!
Yes, and they actually won a grammy that year for best vocal performance on a song, largely because of that harmony at the end. Maurice said in his autobiography that he and Philip Bailey kind of improvised that vocal, and it almost sounded like a monastery chant.

Earth, Wind and Fire is the best . My father went to be with the Lord on September the 7th. We used to listen to this song on the way to see my grandmother. Can't Hide Love was one of his favorite songs. It brings back memories of my favorite soldier. I love and miss you Daddy ❤️.
Please don't forget the superb Ralph Johnson and Larry Dunn.....brilliant musicians which helped bond Maurice White's tough, and timeless, regime together. They even had the incredible Ronnie Laws with them for a short period from the early 70s. RIP Maurice.
I have something against todays music if you want to call it that. It’s garbage. There really hasn’t been quality music for the last 20 years in my opinion.
Shortly after Prince died, I heard a minister about my age (56) who grew up on this beautiful music say " God is putting together one heck of a band ". I thought of all the great talents in that band. Maurice, Prince, James Brown, Michael, Whitney, Berry White, Tina Marie, Bob Marley ............ That list is ... mind blowing. The artist did what they were put on this earth to do and I for one am greatfull to have heard there music.
