I had never heard this song until just last month a few weeks before Christmas. I had been going through a very difficult time emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I couldn't see life anymore on the path before me and felt nothing. This song literally brought the fire back into my heart. I remember getting up and dancing, I love to dance I'm always dancing and hadn't danced in what seemed like forever and there I was in my room dancing and singing the lyrics at the top of my lungs. Hey Tony so good to hear. I had this album in HS. I’m 64. This band was legendary in our time. It’s a shame the lead singer died but I admit I was also partial to September. And it’s refreshing that you a young family who embraces it. I owned and operated a radio station and had a show and my son was a musician and army combat medic. He died in my arms from a heart attack almost 2 yrs ago but I finally have made arrangements for his and his wife being placed in a columbarium at a military cemetery. He got married and his wife died a month later and then my son died 10 months later. Needless to say I was in a comatose state but I’m better. He was my only kid. I have family but it’s not the same. Just saw these guys at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, and I'm gonna say it: these are some of the BEST musicians on the planet! They were so amazing they had me in tears. You can just feel that you're witnessing something rare and magical that may never happen again. Even the sound crew was top notch! The horns, vocals, percussion, and especially the mind blowing bass lines laid down by Verdine White all sounded stunning. It just isn't every day you see nearly a dozen musicians of this caliber, who can all hang with each other and do justice to such a monster catalog of hits. If these legends come anywhere near you on tour - GET THOSE TICKETS!

With good reason. I'm 60 but I remember so many incredibly strong memories associated with this song and EW&F in general. But for some reason, this one just brings back the most intense, emotional feelings for me as well.

I had never heard this song until just last month a few weeks before Christmas. I had been going through a very difficult time emotionally, mentally and spiritually. I couldn't see life anymore on the path before me and felt nothing. This song literally brought the fire back into my heart. I remember getting up and dancing, I love to dance I'm always dancing and hadn't danced in what seemed like forever and there I was in my room dancing and singing the lyrics at the top of my lungs. I felt the life return to my soul. Thank you, thank you for this beautiful, inspiring song. I know this song was created before I was even a thought here on Earth and somehow it found me and brought me back to life 🙏💗

Hey Tony so good to hear. I had this album in HS. I’m 64. This band was legendary in our time. It’s a shame the lead singer died but I admit I was also partial to September. And it’s refreshing that you a young family who embraces it. I owned and operated a radio station and had a show and my son was a musician and army combat medic. He died in my arms from a heart attack almost 2 yrs ago but I finally have made arrangements for his and his wife being placed in a columbarium at a military cemetery. He got married and his wife died a month later and then my son died 10 months later. Needless to say I was in a comatose state but I’m better. He was my only kid. I have family but it’s not the same. Anyway I just wanted to comment on your comment

Just saw these guys at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City, and I'm gonna say it: these are some of the BEST musicians on the planet! They were so amazing they had me in tears. You can just feel that you're witnessing something rare and magical that may never happen again.
Even the sound crew was top notch! The horns, vocals, percussion, and especially the mind blowing bass lines laid down by Verdine White all sounded stunning. It just isn't every day you see nearly a dozen musicians of this caliber, who can all hang with each other and do justice to such a monster catalog of hits. If these legends come anywhere near you on tour - GET THOSE TICKETS!
